And there you have it, swipe through to see all three versions of the bird mobile!
It’s amazing what a slight change to the layout does for the whole design. The two larger mobiles each have 10 birds but are completely different.
The tall mobile hangs in my entryway but would never work in a bedroom, it’s simply too long. However, it is stunning in a big open space.
The smaller design would be a great gift paired with a custom print (gift bundles coming to the shop sooooooon)!
It has been really fun to play around with these layouts and I hope to have a bunch of these in stock soon. I just need more hours in the day ;)

I am working hard to get a few of these paper house mobiles into my shop.
These mobiles will each have 3 little houses and make the sweetest gifts, be it a new home or a new baby that needs celebrating!

I have been working on some new bird mobiles lately and this is the first one. There is a shot of it from below 12 seconds into the video.

My 8 year old daughter and I worked together to make this mobile for her ballet teacher. We used the shades of blue that the girls had in their recital dresses. We hope she loves this mobile and that it reminds her of six little ballerinas who love her so very much. What a fun and unique year end gift!

I am working on a custom mobile this week!
I was asked to create a mobile for a toddler’s big girl room. My customer requested flowers, leaves, a deer, hedgehog, rabbit and squirrel. You can swipe to see a photo of the pillow that the mobile will be coordinating with!
Swipe again to see the final layout - I usually send a few options when I receive a custom request and this was the winner!
I will be cutting the shapes out tonight and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together when it is all balanced and hanging up!

Part 3: Airplanes & Clouds Mobile
Spinning in and out of shadow and light.
I especially love how the clouds appear white or grey depending on the lighting!
Motion is a huge part of why I decided to make lightweight, balanced mobiles. It takes just the movement of air in the room to get the whole thing going. All of the shapes and groupings can rotate independently and the gentle motion is eye catching and incredibly calming!

I will never get tired of these little paper houses! This sweet mobile was customized in grey, blue and teal for a lovely customer.
Each mobile I create is made to order so the colors can be completely customized at no extra cost!
Taking inspiration from other elements in a room (decor, bedding, wall art etc) a Love Lou Home mobile can pull all of the colors together and be that perfect final touch!

Spring has arrived here in Kelowna. The sun is shining and most of the snow in the backyard has melted! We are just starting our 2 week spring break and my teacher hubby, 2nd grader and kindergartener are ready for some adventures!
I am working on some new products for the shop and it involves these birds and a giveaway. Coming soon!!
Fun fact about me: I have a total obsession with airplanes and flight. We live close to an airport so I hear airplanes flying over our house every day. No big deal. But if I hear anything that sounds like a fighter jet I am running to the windows or even outside to catch a glimpse. My little kids watch me like I’m crazy as run around trying to see where the plane went. I can’t help it LOL! Every once in a while the Canadian forces air show team Canadian Forces Snowbirds stop by our airport and when I hear them fly overhead I am like a total NUT running around, pulling the car over, whatever it takes to see them.
This mobile is perfect for anyone who loves planes, helicopters and taking to the skies (or for a 34 year old woman trying to catch a glimpse of that jet 😂)

At my wedding, in her speech, my mom said to me “I loved you before I met you”. As I was putting together this collection of prints I knew I had to include this quote. I loved my own kids before I ever saw them. Love is a powerful thing 💛
