🚨 315,000 grave violations against children in conflict were verified between 2005 and 2022, a stark illustration of the devastating impact of war and conflict on children. 🚨

As leaders convene in Oslo, I am calling for governments to make bold new commitments to 1) uphold and operationalize the international laws and norms already in place to protect children in war, 2) hold perpetrators to account when children’s rights are violated, and 3) step up with critical resources to fund the protection of children in conflict.

Africa is home to 17 out of 30 countries globally with the highest burden of tuberculosis infections. To attain 0️⃣% by 2030, governments must work harder to restore and improve access to essential health services for all people with tuberculosis especially children and adolescents.

Every child deserves a healthy start in life. However, there are far too many starving children in Africa for whom hunger is a constant, chronic pain. Stunting is not the only form of malnutrition that affects children. Children who have severe acute malnutrition, the deadliest form of extreme hunger, can succumb to the disease in just a few days. Children who die in this way suffer immensely as their vital organ functions slow down and eventually stop. Give a unique and meaningful gift that will bring joy and change lives. #

Child poverty is neither inevitable nor immune to efforts to address it. As many countries have already shown, it can be reduced and even eradicated through continued attention and action. #
