Hey y'all! It's been about 2 years since I have introduced myself, so I thought I would reintroduce myself today to my new followers.

My name is Shanon Branchaud and I live just outside of Brantford and Paris Ontario. I have two dogs who are my babies and I have been married for 8 years.

I started The Little Creek Co during the pandemic when the world shut down. The art that I was creating caught on, so I started doing it full time. I also work half of the year on the Severn River, where my family owns a boat access only restaurant. The Little Creek Co allows me to leave half of the year to work up north.

I have always loved making things and creating art. So to do it full time is a literal dream. I have so many ideas, products and tools that I can't wait to start sharing.

This textured piece is done in a beautiful n**e colour with a frame made of reclaimed wood. I love how the slight glossiness shows off that beautiful texture. This piece is up for grabs! Please DM me to claim!

I just love to see my pieces in their forever home! This custom woodscape was completed last year. I love when I get to do custom pieces! Custom sizes, colours and patterns. It is so much fun bringing your vision to life.

Did you know that each piece of home decor is made of wood from an old local farmhouse? It is lath from lath and plaster walls.

Before I can start making anything, there are several steps I must take to make the wood useable.

STEP 1- I have to pull all of the handmade nails from each piece (and there is a lot of them!)

STEP 2- Using a wire brush, scrape off any dirt or plaster still left on each piece.
🤍
STEP 3: Put each piece through the table saw once to create a smooth and straight edge on one side. After each piece has gone through once, adjust the guard and put each piece through again creating a smooth edge on both sides. This will allow each piece to sit nice and snug against the pieces beside it.

And finally, you are ready to start creating!
