The 10 of Pentacles represents a strong family support system, abundant riches, and the idea of having a large, healthy, thriving family in general. 

Of course “family” and “riches” can take whatever shape they mean to you - when I think of this card I imagine sitting on the side of a hill at a large gathering with people I love watching them all have fun and enjoy the day. It’s that kind of ‘happy family’ energy that while conventionally points to the standard nuclear family, really just represents whatever that looks like for you. 💙

The 9 of Pentacles is the card that reminds us to recognize and be grateful for everything we’ve created in our lives. It’s the card that underlines not just success, but specifically making decisions that are in line with what we truly want and the success that results.  

Compared to the rest of the family, Aunt Amy chose a pretty unconventional path - she isn’t married, lives alone, and has built a career as a writer. She has true independence and freedom and - like this card promotes - she also has a healthy and humble appreciation for the great things she’s generated in her life. 

Michael “Mack” Jordan Mackenzie is featured as the 8 of Pentacles in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

The 8 of Pentacles encourages us to take our training seriously when pursuing something important to us, but not so seriously that we inhibit our own development by trying to control all the details. Mack is really good at balancing his academic excellence with his athleticism while still being social and enjoying his life overall. This card highlights how Mack’s balanced approach to his development - and never focusing too much on one thing - allows him to enjoy everything.

Jodie Landon is featured as the 7 of Pentacles in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

The 7 of Pentacles represents consistent devotion and hard work in service of the larger picture. In the same way Jodie is a big boss when it comes to prioritizing her success to achieve her dreams, this card encourages us to work with delayed gratification in mind.

But - Jodie also pushes herself too hard sometimes, and later realizes she was so caught up in an idea of success that she’s sacrificed part of herself for it. Similarly the 7 of Pentacles can also serve to remind us not to prioritize success SO much that we lose sight of our own inner desires. 😅 📚🔑 😓

Quinn Morgendorffer with Jamie and Joey are featured as the 6 of Pentacles in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

The 6 of Pentacles points to an act of giving that benefits both the giver and receiver.

In this card, Quinn is providing a charitable contribution to the boys by letting them carry her books. It’s the kind of charitable act that’s a win for both sides: Quinn is relieved of the physical burden, and the boys get the privilege of being in her company. 😂

Val from ~Val Magazine~ is featured as the 5 of Pentacles in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

The 5 of pentacles warns us against being so preoccupied with our own personal hang-ups that we’re unable to be present with the circumstances in front of us. Like most cards in the pentacles suit, it references physicality including finances, so it’s specifically pointing at basically not getting bogged down with superficial worries. 

Val came to Lawndale High with hopes to create an editorial on teen life, but quickly failed to connect with the “edgy youth.” Val seems to have trouble coming to terms with her real self, primarily her age. She’s no longer a part of youth culture and as a result this denial keeps her from making the genuine connections she’s so desperately seeking. 

Her whole mission was based around channeling youth in order to gain profit, and ironically her inability to be real about her relationship to youth - to acknowledge and work through her own struggles like this card asks - is what got in the way of her success. 

Charles “Upchuck” Ruttheimer III is featured as the 4 of Pentacles in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

Upchuck is consistently spending all of his energy chasing and trying to force female attention, and is then consistently left in a worse position than before because of his inability to just go with the flow.

The 4 of Pentacles is the card that represents holding on too tightly to how we want things to be rather than working with how they are. It especially has to do with money, but really it can be reflected anywhere in life. This card is a reminder that greed or excessive force may give us the illusion of power, but really only holds us back!

The 2 of Pentacles symbolizes juggling responsibilities, managing competing priorities, and sometimes signals that we’re at risk of overextension. We can all keep a balancing act going for a little while, but eventually we’ll drop the ball if we’re not conscientious of the energy it takes to maintain -- this card is a gentle nudge to make sure that what we’re balancing is sustainable. 

The Simpsons’ Happy Squirrel is featured as The Happy Squirrel card in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

The Happy Squirrel is the embodiment of feeling super alive and motivated in both our personal life and in the way that we’re productive. When this card shows up it reinforces that we’re on the right track with achieving a healthy balance between self-care and producing our best work - or that we need to pay more attention to finding balance in this way.

Daria, Beavis, Meatwad, and Zorak are featured as The World in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

The World card represents that moment where we’re about to make a big leap into a new stage of life, but we likely don’t feel prepared. 

It’s that scary but super potent period of transition where we’re being called toward more; where we have to quiet any doubts and just step forward. 

Is there anything you’ve been thinking about for a while that you know you need to do? This card is telling you to jump on in and do it even if you don’t feel ready! 🌎🕳️👋

The whole Aqua Teen Hunger Force crew is featured as Judgement in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

Earlier last summer the Aqua Teen gang suffered a tragic accident. They were setting off fireworks irresponsibly, and unfortunately they all perished in a massive explosive fire. 

It might not have been so bad, but Carl was passed out with a handle of vodka next to one of the big ones that Meatwad accidentally lit early - it’s believed that in addition to the nearby alcohol, Carl’s blood alcohol content is largely what grew the fire to the tragic heights it reached. From there the fire then spread to the Mooninites spaceship, and the ship immediately exploded. 

They were goners in no time.

The interesting part is that the Mooninites actually planned the whole thing, but it backfired when Ignignokt tried to fly himself and Err away in their spaceship and didn’t realize he still had the parking brake on.

Thankfully, Dr. Weird has provided them with absolution and just finished bringing them all back to life under the condition that they be extra careful to only set Carl on fire in the future. Please enjoy this rare capture I caught of the act. 🙏

Bobby Hill is featured as The Sun in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

The Sun card shows up to shine some optimism and positivity on us, and Bobby sets a great example of how to channel this energy. He might be an example of a radical optimist. 

Even while regularly surrounded by negative or limiting opinions, he never hesitates to object in the name of peace and love by throwing down some bizarrely obscure wisdom. 

Like the time Hank was trying to dissuade Bobby from getting into a sport he didn’t think was manly enough:

Hank: “I didn’t think I'd ever need to tell you this, Bobby. But I'd be a bad parent if I didn’t… Soccer was invented by european ladies to keep them busy while their husbands did the cooking.”

Bobby: “… Why do you have to hate what you don’t understand?” 

Hank backed off, Bobby actually ended up playing soccer AND football, and everyone was happy. 🌻😎☀️

Lady Bird, Doggie, and Hank Hill are featured as The Star in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

The Moon represents our subconscious, specifically the part that deals in our illusions and delusions. It can ask us to consider if we’ve been failing to address something realistically, or sometimes signals that we’re in the process of transforming fear into faith. 🐾🌙🤍🐾

After a period of feeling lost, out of place, and hopeless, Luanne found meaning again through creating her smash hit show: **~Manger Babies~** 🐧🦜🐙

In the same way Luanne found her calling by listening to her intuition, The Star invites us to trust in existence. Especially in a seemingly unlucky period, when this card shows up it’s like a suggestion to get really quiet, trust, and relax into the idea that there’s no need to force anything. Sometimes we can’t see the light because we’re the ones blocking it. The Star asks us to basically get out of our own way so the (barnyard animal puppet) show can go on. ❤️‍🩹🌟

Buck Strickland and his propane tower are featured as The Tower in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! They’re available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

If you’re a KoTH fan you might remember when Buck had a breakdown and a string of events caused him to spiral so badly that he almost lost everything. He cheated on his wife, crashed his car, lost a ton of money gambling, and was eventually trying to run the store drunk every day.

But! It ended up being a blessing in disguise. It led him to ultimately arrive at a new unshakable foundation of hope and faith... when he realized he’d always had what truly mattered all along - “lady propane” - and even if everything crumbled around him nobody could take that away.

The Tower card reminds us that sometimes we have to experience big loss in order to be reoriented toward what really matters. 💔 

Brak is featured as Temperance in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s also available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

Temperance is the card that points to the middle way: patience, balance, stability. When Brak first hit the intergalactic scene, he was a ruthless villain fully hell-bent on evil manipulation. Several years later he suffered blunt head trauma and became the friendship-advocating, hot-dog appreciating, sage advice-giving brak we all know and love. 🌭💚
 

Zorak is featured as The Devil in my Nostalgic TV Tarot Deck! It’s also available as a print, and both the deck and prints are at the link in my bio. 

The Devil appears to remind us of the tension that always exists behind our desires - we all want comfort, but seeking too much causes stagnation. We all want excitement, but too much can cause short-sightedness and regret. Zorak typically indulges in all impulsive desires, and is constantly working to correct his flame-thrown course. 

The Devil card also encourages us to find humor and levity in even the darkest moments, and that the more we practice this the easier it becomes to achieve balance around our desires. 🔫🦗🔥
