SYNAPSE says... 🧬☹️👋

As we wrap up an incredible chapter with SYNAPSE, we can't help but reminisce about all the memories we've shared from playing simple science games with the Syna-PEEPS 👩🏻🧑🏻 to designing merchandise that's full of SUGAR 🍬✨, SPICE 🔥, AND EVERYTHING NICE 🌟 to make the SYNAPSE merch, to even organizing and facilitating events such as the SCIENCE TRAIL 🔬💪

A message from the one and only SIR BUMA !!
"Thank you very much sa lahat ng mga members. Thank you very much for your attendance and then sa lahat ng mga accomplishments ninyo, yung mga pagsali niyo sa mga activities, thank you very much. Acknowledged na acknowledged ko po 'yan. And then I would also like to mention the set of officers, job well done for your accomplishments. So ganito talaga 'pag mag-eend na an school year, magpapaalam na tayo sa isa't isa, [so] siguro next year, iba na ang magiging ALA ninyo. But surely ang magpapaalam dito sa atin ay walang iba kundi si Ate Lynne at si Ate Kaye kasi wala na atang ALA pag grade 11, so both of you, thank you very much sa accomplishment ng ating ALA. And then, the rest of the members, I'm very glad na pinili niyo itong SYNAPSE as your ALA. All in all, thank you very much po sa lahat, sa pagparticipate niyo sa ating acitivity, yung attendance niyo during meetings, thank you very much po. God bless you all!"

Each activity, chismisan session, and "Ate, pupunta muna kami sa canteen hehe," moments make every Wednesday ALA meeting unforgettable. Once again, SYNAPSE says...this isn't goodbye, it's see you later 💖🤗

Through the years, women have made numerous contributions in the fields of science and technology. From exploring the atomic world to the colossal universe, the excellence that is their minds have undoubtedly made outstanding breakthroughs that have not only served as enhancement to the existing knowledge but foundations to the unknown. 👩‍🔬⚗️🔬

Marie Curie, known for her pioneering work regarding radioactivity, became the first woman to receive the Nobel Prize, first person to win the Nobel Prize twice, and the only person to win a Nobel prize in two scientific fields. 🧪👩‍⚕️🏆

In traversing the unknown, we have Katherine Johnson for her calculations on orbital mechanics which lead to the success of US-crewed spacecraft and Valentina Tereshkova, who became the youngest and first woman to fly into space. 🪐☄️🔭

We also have Rosalind Franklin, who discovered and established the central understanding of our DNA. 🤯🧬🥽

And finally, we have our very own Fe Del Mundo, who founded the first pediatric hospital in the Philippines. She devoted her work to shaping the children’s healthcare system today. 👶👩‍🍼🍼

These marvelous women, along with many others, had devoted their lives in the development of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and the world with their work. 🧮👷‍♀️👩‍💻

This Women’s Month, SYNAPSE joins the call in promoting women empowerment and putting an end to contemporary gender equality issues and concerns. ✊😌🤩
