SPREADING LOVE IN DANVILLE 🩷

The fact that the first thing a visitor to our downtown sees as they're entering the business district is a giant display of divisiveness makes me *feel* things.

I *know* that the sentiments of a few do not represent the collective feelings of our community as a whole. And I *know* that we can't erase the unwelcome feeling that certain downtown signage conveys.

But it breaks my heart to think that important, valued, and cherished members of our community feel like they don’t belong in our downtown.

We can't take it down (free speech, private property, etc etc)... so what CAN we do?

We *can* work together to drown out the negativity with dozens more messages that focus on spreading positivity, hope, kindness, and encouragement.

So! Please join us in a community campaign to SPREAD LOVE in Danville PA. Here's how it works:

•Make a poster/sign with a positive, uplifting message.
•Drop the sign off at Troop 47 Trading Co (320 Mill St) by the middle of next week-ish.
•We'll post them in our windows, and share them with our fellow businesses throughout the downtown district.
•Then, when you see a sign displayed downtown, share it on the socials using

Our hope is that seeing the love and support from these messages will remind *everyone* in our community that they are welcome here.

Get your kids involved. Get your troop/group/organization involved. Let's work together to spread the love.

DANVILLE PLAIDS ARE IN! We literally *just* picked them up, so they'll be ready for you to pickup starting tomorrow (Saturday) during the Fall Arts & Crafts Festival, happening downtown from 9am-4pm — rain or shine!

I ORDERED EXTRAS! There aren't a ton of extras, but if you missed the preorder, stop by our booth tomorrow (the earlier the better). We'll also be restocked on lots of other school spirit goodies, like headbands, earrings, and SOCKS! oh yeah, the socks are back in stock! (fyi, these sold out in 2 hours the first time 😅 so come early if ya want a pair!)

oh hey! we're open today til 4:30, and b/c my brain feels like mush this week, here's a completely random list of things you need to know:

1. 🛍️ SALES! All of the leftovers from our sidewalk sale last week are finally sorted and in the shop now. We've got a full shelf of goodies for $5/each, a rack of tees for $10, and trashed flannels for $20. Come and get'em! (and help me make room for all things fall, which leads me to #2...)

2. 🎃 FALL! Join us on Fri 8/30 from 4-7pm for our annual (and always eagerly anticipated) Fall Open House. More info coming soon, but until then, go ahead and save the date, k?

3. 🏈 GAME DAY! We're just a few short weeks away from the start of fall football & the game day goodies are rollin' in! We'll keep ya posted on an official drop date, but it's looking like early-mid August. More to come!

4. 🌊 QUICK VACATION! Scott & I are sneakin' away to the beach for a couple days next week to take advantage of one last break before the craziness of the fall & holiday seasons. With that, the shop will be CLOSED on Wed 7/31 & Thurs 8/1. We'll be back in business on Fri 8/2 at 11 am.

5a. ⚽️ Olympic soccer starts TODAY and this is now a fan account until further notice 🇺🇸 (this is really #1 on the list, let's be real)
