Our team had the privilege of celebrating MADARAKA DAY 2024 with the Clay International School Community. During this event, we focused on promoting One Health principles in alignment with global sustainable goals. By emphasizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, we aimed to inspire a holistic approach to well-being.

Through initiatives like the One Student, One Tree program, we are actively working to instill a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship within the school community. This program not only encourages tree planting but also educates students on the importance of preserving biodiversity and combating climate change.

By integrating these values into the learning culture, we are paving the way for a more sustainable future. The transformation agenda we are pursuing goes beyond individual actions and seeks to create a collective impact that will benefit both current and future generations. Our commitment to this cause is unwavering, and we will continue to strive towards a healthier and more sustainable world for all.

Plants, especially trees, contribute to the water cycle via transpiration, where water evaporates from the surface of their leaves.

Close to 10 percent of all water enters the water cycle due to plant transpiration. Animals contribute to the water cycle via respiration, perspiration and urination.
