Samhain protection horse shoes 🐴

Made under the waning crescent moon a time which brings rest, rejuvenation and the opportunity to honour the darkness within paired with the energy of Samhain a time when the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds is thin. This horse shoe is made to honour our ancestors and the changing of seasons. Pumpkins are associated with the moon and the element of water and are considered symbols of prosperity, protection and fertility and this is why the shoe is decorated with pumpkin seeds to bring through the energy of the pumpkin. I have used carnelian and black obsidian, obsidian is a protective crystal which has the ability to absorb and transform negative energy and carnelian is a stabilising stone which grounds and anchors us into the present it removes fear of death and brings acceptance of the cycle of life. Horse shoes have been used to protect people and homes for generations if any one would like to learn more I will be running the magic of horse shoes workshop at a festival for pagan and witches again in May.

The sky grows dark, the clouds lay heavy
the swirling colours of greys and blues engulf the air, within minutes tiny droplets are released free from the sky, so delicate, so pretty yet so forceful as they crash and dance delicately down from high above. 💧

You watch as thousands of tiny droplets descend through the air covering everything in their path in a shimmering, majestic, wet glow. The sound of water splashing and dripping rings throughout your ears and as your body begins to relax you become still. The rain runs down your hair and cascades down onto your face causing dripping from your nose, you stop and take notice of everything your senses are experiencing in this moment, for it’s just you, you and the water.

You look up and as you take a deep breath in you begin to close your eyes and accept the cleansing force of natures water. You allow it to wash over you as you feel your body joining forces with it, becoming one, you speak and ask it to release all you no longer need, your body is heavier weighed down by water but your spirit feels light cleansed and free. This year I have been on so many journeys internally and externally.

As most of you know Reiki is something that I’m oh so passionate about but did you know your healings can be infused with other energy depending on what is it you need. I am trained in Angelic Reiki which is a more softer and gentler healing aswell as Moon and Luna Reiki which utilises the energy of the Moon! Which in itself is a beautiful energy but combined with Reiki it’s my favourite type of healing to do. I’m also trained in Wicca Reiki and shamanic Reiki.

But the journey has led me to add another energy to my collection I’m so happy to say I am now fully trained in Mermaid Reiki Levels 1 and 2. Utilising the energy of the mermaid into my healings.

The mermaid has been spoken about since the beginning of time with tales of half fish half humans that have the ability to lore sailors into their deepest darkest depths usually at the forefront of the mind. But why does the mermaid appear in tales from all across the world? In one tale it is said that pagan woman were turned into mermaids because a st declared they had no soul and couldn’t be trusted maybe becuase of the connection they hold to the divine feminine. Mermaids are a reminder for us to visit our own watery depths to understand our emotions and our ability to navigate through life’s uncertain currents at our own pace with awareness and love. They inspire us to break free from conditions and delve into the beautiful world of the water within. As humans at least 70% of us is made up of water and so every vibration leaves an internal imprint on our own bodies of water. Using Mermaid energy within a healing allows more focus for us to work with the water that lies within us to cleanse and purify the bodies natural waters of all that we no longer need.

Sometimes I struggle with being present in the world, I’m a typical little crab with an added pinch of only child syndrome and I like to be alone, its hard to balance life’s chaos with being alone becuase the two don’t always mix but I think when you’ve grown up completely in your head it’s a part of you that you have to find the space to keep that time alive. I love people and I love my people but I also love me and I know what me needs, so this morning the inspiration came from above and I wrote this little poem, for anyone struggling to conform for anyone struggling with being in their own head and for anyone that gets aww you must be so lonely like it’s a bad thing when it’s actually familiar and safe to you this is from me to you…..

My favourite time of year is coming ❤️🫶

Sea shells are a gift from the ocean that once housed amazing creatures, each shell is made up from scared geometry and the creatures that once lived in these shells have long been recognised for their amazing power within the ocean.

Sea shells can be used for their protective properties as well as during rituals and ceremonies becuase of their purifying properties. Seashells provide relief from stress and are a symbol of prosperity, communication and healthy relationships. The sea is strongly influenced by the moon so seashells hold the energy of the moon and the moon phases, so it is no suprise that the shell holds wisdom and can help with intuition and psychic connection. The sea shell is associated with Aphrodite as she is often pictured emerging from a scallop shell or with a scallop shell alluding to her being from the sea.

Many shells form a central spiral and grow outward with the passing full moon, the connection between the moon and the mollusk is immense as the shell literally adds a section during this phase. Shells hold sacred geometry and are a powerful symbol. Shells without spirals hold just as much power but in a different form they teach us how to use the resources available to us. Shells have been used throughout time for many different purposes, healing, protection, spell work, Psycic awareness, growth and for self love practices.

Seashells work really well with Reiki, the practitioner is able to use different shapes and sizes much like those who use crystals to help balance the chakras, heal and cleanse. Shells have been shown to have specific healing properties, abalone shell is usually worn for its protective qualities it is said to ease feelings of fear, depression and sadness. Abalone has been used to attract inspiration and creativity. It’s great for boosting communication and peace. It’s a wonderful tool to use when you’re trying to reconnect with self and boost your self love and aid your healing journey.

Cowrie shells are used to manifest prosperity and abundance it’s often said that cowrie shells hold goddess protection which is very powerful and connected to the strength of the ocean. Cowrie shells symbolise the power of destiny and prosperity it’s believed to teach respect to all that possess them.

Starfish are used for guidance and inspiration, when your stuck at a crossroads you can find answers from the meaning of a starfish, each point is like the pentagram and so the star represents regeneration, renewal, self sustainability and infinite divine love.

Cone shells are used for protection they are used to direct energy much like a crystal point. Olive shells are great for cleansing and healing and moon shells will help with psychic awareness, peace and purification.

Mother of pearls are traditional used to heighten intuition and imagination, in recent times they have been used for protecting against negative energy, attracting abundance and enhancing wound healing.

Clams, muscles and oysters aid purification, love and good fortune, small ones are gifted for love and most healers will carry one. Sand dollar shells are fragile yet they hold a strong vibration. This shell is known for holding wisdom and information that we need to make the necessary changes for healing, spiritual growth and expansion. The shell is formed around the 5 pointed star of sacred geometry which teaches us to be gentle in our approach to all life and to go with the flow. The sand dollar encourages us to have faith and connect with the strength within.

You can connect with sea shells the same way you would a crystal holding it in your hand, take some deep breaths and relax, you may wish to meditate with your shell or set the intention to energetically connect with your shell.

Need to make some more sacred water 💦 my vessel is nearly all out! 🩵💦

This year, I have spent so much time in the most beautiful of places Glastonbury. With its magical stories, energy, ley lines and amazing places to visit I enjoy every moment I spend there, aside from the beauty of the tor or the array of amazing shops to visit, for me the water is what completely pulls me there.

Glastonbury is the home of the black, white and red springs and each one has its own magic.

The red springs is found at chalice wells and is known as the red springs becuase of the iron flowing through the water making it appear red in colour. Here you will find the chalice well, king Arthur’s court and healing pool, the lions head and the vesica pool.

The chalice well itself is one of the most well known holy wells in Britain and has long been known for its healing properties. In king Arthur’s court you can walk through the healing pool and here particularly is where you will notice why it’s known as the red springs as you will see the rich red iron running throughout the water. The lions head provides the only drinkable water at chalice wells and that must be in really small dosages. The vesica pool water describes a figure of eight as it flows through seven bowls.

The white springs is just around the corner and the water itself descends from underneath the tor, it’s a beautiful sanctuary built within a cavern and is illuminated by candles. This amazing place allows you to submerge into the icy cold sacred spring water or if you wish you can bottle it up from the outside faucet and take it to drink, the white springs is called the white springs because of the level of calcite found within the water. The white spring has a high calcium carbonate content, originating from the limestone that underlies the area.

In this temple space not only will you hear the sound of constant flowing water but you will also find shrines to honour the spiritual energies that reside in this beautiful place, its home to a shrine for Brigid, the Celtic fire goddess and guardian of sacred springs, our lady of Avalon is also recognised here beside the healing pools as well as a shrine in honour of the king of world of faerie which as legend has it you will find at the portal to the other world . The ley line which is known as the Michael line runs right through the temple and Michael who is forever associated with Glastonbury and the tor is also honoured here. There is also a seasonal altar space which people are welcome to leave offerings on, a space to write full moon banishments which you may burn yourself or leave to be burned during the next full moon by the keepers of the white springs. There now is also a shrine as soon as you enter dedicated to Hecate she has made her own presence known here and due to so many offerings and gifts being left for Hecate she now has her own sacred space.

The black springs is the well found within Glastonbury abbey, the well is fed by a spring in the natural rock. In medieval times it was enclosed within a well house and accessible by steep stairs. It is said to be a space where spirits dwell allowing them to travel from the underworld into this world. It is where we connect to the unknown. This water is dark and mysterious and encourages us to reach into the shadows and journey within our own healing. This black water allows, prophecy’s, divination and divine messages to pour in from the other world.
