Hands down, the absolute best recorded sounds in underground rock. You’re never gonna get a better drum sound than Shellac’s “At Action Park”, or a gnarlier guitar sound than Nirvana’s “Radio Friendly Unit Shifter”.

This man really made some of the most important music of my 1990s adolescence. His ethical stance as a music producer and engineer will continue to shine a light on music industry graft and corporatization.
