Kelowna is no Edmonton but it still gets cold here!
When you walked out of the door this morning, you were likely met with a burst of frigid air. Now imagine if you had to sleep outside last night...
If you have an extra coat, hat, gloves, etc... please consider dropping off to 313 Bernard Ave.
"Need a coat, take one! Want to help, leave one 😊"
Have you heard about the 5-minute favour?🤷♂️
This simple habit could really change the way you give to others.
Let's start a pay-it-forward community 🤘

Turns out, Rifkin is a giver, "a sun with many different solar systems."

The spotlight on Social Good just got that much brighter in the Valley
Details to follow...
(PS do you know someone in Kelowna or the surrounding area that loves creating a positive impact in business? Invite them to like and follow along!)
The Spark of Social Good
What do you get when you mix two bearded gentlemen, a bunch of good intentions, and a couple of pints of beer?
It was at the National on 17th in Calgary where Dan Harrison and Jay Baydala (far left and far right above respectively) sat down to brainstorm on their ideas of good. Both men were avid entrepreneurs who always gravitated towards charitable causes. Dan had found success in the financial world, always searching for ways to give-back to organizations that were close to his heart, where Jay had built an entire app that helps companies do more good while marketing their services.
They wanted to find a way to work together, while empowering others to integrate social-good into their own businesses or roles in society. It’s fantastic to gather to celebrate social-entrepreneurship, but they wanted to create more change than that. This is when the idea for #SoGo (Social Good) was born.
Dan and Jay envisioned their first event, where entrepreneurs interested in creating social impact would gather to network, learn and empower others. Of course it would start in Calgary, (in fact, many of the events to follow would be in that very same bar) but eventually, SOGO could spread to other cities, connecting entrepreneurs from all over the country...and maybe all over the world.
