For those of you who didn’t know, in 2015 Will was diagnosed with Melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer. It was an “all of a sudden type thing” that called for emergency surgery. That moment in time led us both down a path of awareness and instilled a passion in Will for spreading that awareness.
Fast forward to 2021, while living in upstate New York, we figured out where we wanted this path to lead us. Together, we put in a lot of research, Will attended an entrepreneurship boot camp, we created numerous designs and obtained a business license. With that being said, we would like to officially announce the opening of Phoebus Apparel. ☀️
Phoebus, meaning “bright”, was the nickname of Apollo the sun god. The name also sends a little shout out to a place we called home for a while. We can’t wait to share with you all we have been working on and provide you with a quality product that will keep you safe in the sun. 🌅

We at Phoebus Apparel would be remiss to let the last day of May pass by without acknowledging Skin Cancer Awareness Month. We plan on posting a more formal introduction soon but felt it was important to let our customers know that we are officially open for business and accepting pre-orders of our UPF 50 shirts. We look forward to providing you with quality apparel that allows you to stay safe and enjoy the outdoors!
