Lynda Smith
Lynda Smith has worked in the cafeteria at Englewood Elementary for 26 years. Students adore her and flock to her. She is loved by students and parents. All ages, all races. Lynda is also very involved with her church and their Shoe Box ministry. During the Covid outbreak, Lynda never ceased feeding the kids that depended on food from her school. Day one she showed up to prepare, hand out and deliver food to the children in our community, risking her own health due to underlying health issues that put her at a higher risk for Covid. Lynda never missed a beat from day one. Not just working one or two days here and there but every day and then moving to other job related responsibilities.
Totally recommend!
This parent went to my website, clicked a few buttons and just like that...done! "Cade's" school supplies were purchased, boxed, labeled, and will be waiting for "Cade" in his classroom when he returns to school! His parents never left their home :-)

Happy international picnic day!
Last zoom... we may do a random one in the summer to catch up. I love all my kids - thank you parents for sharing them with me!
Today was such an odd day. So very bittersweet. This was a very different end to school and my first as a teacher in my own room. These were my first kids. My heart has grown and has 23 more people in it that I love. I will never forget these kids. I sure have been blessed. We were 6 feet apart - it’s just the way the angle was of the phone. We practiced social distancing!! 21 of my 23 babies!!
Ms. Smith is doing a puzzle - what are the kiddos doing ?
I had an accident this morning... I had Annabelle in my arms and Magic went out the back door before me and tripped me up. I Landed on my ankle wrong. I ended up riding in an ambulance for the first time and going to the ER. I’m home now - 2 fractures fibula distal tears and other fancy words. I have a splint and am non weight barring. I go to an orthopedic surgeon Monday and surgery tuesday or Wednesday. I will do all weekly phone calls this week on Friday. I’m hoping to give myself some time to feel a little better. Tell my kids I love them!
We had a sweet surprise for teacher and staff appreciation today! We loved our lunch, sweet treat and T-shirt!

I sure love these kids. I know they will ALWAYS be in my heart because they were my first class but also our year being cut short there’s even more of a bond. 💕😫
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week we are asking parents to share videos/messages to your child’s teacher on this thread. Make sure to tag your teacher.
Also some have asked about sending gifs. You can bring gifts to the school from 8:30-12. We will come to the car and pick them up.
We love our principal Dr. Rice! She is so thoughtful and kind and always wants the best for us. We are so thankful for her! 💕❤️
Something fun to do!

I dropped off goody bags to each of my kiddos today. I saw 19 of my 23 kids! It did my heart good. The kids did a great job at waiting until I got far enough away (6 feet or more) or back in my car before coming out. I love them all! ❤️💕
“Sniff out ways to bless other people” 💕❤️ let me know if I can do anything to help you and your family. I love you all. 💕
❤️💕
Ms Smith’s struggle was still fun. Atleast I made the kids laugh 😂
