On today's list of things to make are more of these lovely mini stockings and letter tags.
They are so versatile, I'll be using ours as table settings this year and filling the kids ones with colouring pens, paper sticky notes and a mini puzzle to keep them occupied at the dinner table. A bit like an activity cracker without all the waste.
But they could be used for tree decorations, alternative gift wrap, stockings for pets or for the kids favourite dolls and toys to have their own little stockings.

It's a popper cozy day at home today with the weather blowing a hoolie outside.
Is it too early to get the decorations out of the loft?

Mini stockings are selling fast and I totally know why, they're so versatile and cute. I think we'll be using ours as place settings this year, unless the kids commandeer them for their soft toys first.
There is a fair few available pre made as well as custom colours and each one can be personalised with an initial in gold or silver glitter.

I love time with my squishes, they are by far the funniest humans I know. And the older they get the less I long for school holidays to be over and term time to begin.
I do however have a mountain of work to get back to so tomorrow's drop off will be a blessing.
So kids, I do love you but it's time for you to do one 😆

We live at the beach and holiday at the beach.
Cornwall we love you but it's never a hardship heading home to Bournemouth.
Another half term nearly over and we've had a lot of fun but now it's time to hunker down for the winter weeks with hopefully a few sunny winter days to be spent at our local beach instead of glorious Newquay.

I have no idea why I thought launching my Christmas shop during half term when I still hadn't completed all the listings was a good idea.
SO... There is a slight delay, my Christmas shop will now be open THIS WEDNESDAY with all the stockings, tags, banners and loveliness available to pre order in time for the big day

5 days left to get your Halloween orders in, then we're going full swing into Christmas 🎉🎄😆

My boys had their 1st sleep over at Grandma's this weekend and it was a huge success.
I have no idea why we have waited until now to do it.
I had a girls night with an old friend, face masks, foot peels, chick flick, wine, chocolate and a huge Chinese takeaway.
My husband went on a mini adventure with his surf board and a good book in our new van (basically I kicked him out of the house)
And the boys and Grandma lived their best life with ice creams, park visits, making apple crumble and earning a ridiculous amount of pocket money for pretty much having a great time.
We all loved it but I have to admit, when I went up to bed and had no babies to check on (I still check they are breathing every night like a crazy lady) I did miss them.
Does anyone else feel this way when they have a child free night or is it just a blessed break from the relentlessness of parenthood?

• An alternative to Christmas crackers full of treats a joke and a Christmas crown.

One of the problems of running a small business like mine is that the Halloween decorations have already been out for a while and I'm over it.
Can I get the Christmas decorations out of the loft yet?

So not everything I make do I love. This is one of the definitely do not love designs but as my kids are always reminding me (often loudly and annoyingly) everyone has different tastes.
So here it is, SPOOKY in a skull print gets its own square on the grid, just so people know it exists, even if I wish it probably didn't.

I'm asking you lovely lot what you think about stockings over on my stories today.

Should I offer a custom service where you get to choose the base fabric and contrasting fabric out of a selection of 4 or 5 fabrics?
This would allow a more personal service with matching or complimentary stockings for the whole family but would take a bit longer to receive and cost a bit more.

OR

Offer a selection of pre made stockings using end of roll fabrics and designer fabrics I already have stashed away.
This option would be more eco friendly, be ready to post and cost a little less but there would be less scope for buying a whole set for all the family as numbers of each design would be limited.

OR

Both at 2 different price points.

OR

Neither and I should stick to banners?

Something exciting is coming soon...

I think I have volunteered for something at my kids school every day this week, on Monday it was 3 things including teaching a handful of kids road safety (not what I was expecting, I thought I'd just be there to hold hands etc 😆)
I'm so lucky running my own business allows me to be so hands on with the kids school life. I love going in to read with them, helping on school trips or even just sorting out the second hand uniform for after school sales.
And it's all thanks to you guys, keeping me afloat, every sale encourages me to keep going and while it's quiet I'll be here, enjoying these precious moments with my kids and their community.
