We love 1 Corinthians 15:22, because simply yet profoundly testifies of the beautiful truth.We are so grateful for Christ and would like to share our testimony of Jesus Christ. We know Christ lives. Because Christ was resurrected, we can all live again. We can and will overcome death. Because Christ suffered for our sins, infirmities, pains, and afflictions, we can all be made alive spiritually and emotionally through Christ. He loves us and wants to help us. Because of Christ's love for us, we can trust in God's plan for us and hope in better things to come. We know that hope in God's plan for us brings us peace when other things seem to be falling apart. This reminds us of one of our favorite scriptures in the *Book of Mormon which talks about the help we can receive from Heavenly Father in hard times. Mosiah 24:13-14 says:

"13 And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bo***ge.
14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bo***ge; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions."

We love how the scripture talks about how Christ will help us bear our burdens. In what ways do you think Heavenly Father has helped you in your trials? How can you help lift the burdens of others? Hello! Today we want to share a video about a young man who had to walk through some difficult times. He felt alone and decided to turn away from Christ. To Whom Shall We Go In the end, each one of us must respond to the Savior’s question: “Will ye also go away?”

Esta imagen representa la historia de cuando Pedro, un discípulo y apóstol de Jesucristo, vió a Cristo caminando sobre el agua que se encuentra en *Mateo 14: 25-31. Cristo llamó a Pedro invitándolo a venir a Él, y Pedro escuchó valientemente la invitación, y cuando salió del barco, milagrosamente comenzó a caminar sobre el agua. Su fe lo llevó a clamar a Cristo y finalmente a vencer el miedo y la duda con la ayuda de Cristo.

This picture depicts the story of when Peter, a disciple and apostle of Jesus Christ, saw Christ walking on the water found in *Matthew 14:25-31. Christ called out to Peter inviting Peter to come to Him, and Peter listened and courageously heeded the invitation, and as he stepped out of the boat, he miraculously began to walk on water. However, when the winds picked up and the sea began to rage, doubts and fear crept into his heart and mind, and he began to sink. We imagine that as Peter started to sink and the fear and doubt began to take hold, he combated the fear and doubt by riveting his thoughts on Christ. He was able to find hope in Christ and call out for help. We love how the scriptures tell us that Christ immediately stretched forth His hand and caught Peter. This beautiful story reminds us of a scripture in the **Book of Mormon in Helaman 5:12 which says:

"12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

Peter built his spiritual foundation on Christ. Because the foundation was already there, when the sea began to rage, the winds picked up, and doubt and fear took hold of him, he was able to cling to his foundation and testimony in Christ. His faith led him to cry out to Christ and ultimately overcome the fear and doubt with Christ's help.

We invite you to picture yourself in Peter's place as you study the picture. What would you feel? What would you think? Where would your mind turn to? Then think about your Savior, Jesus Christ, and His character. Study Christ's posture. What does Christ exude in this picture? Ponder Christ's response to Peter's desperate call for help.

We love how Christ is the brightest object in the **picture and how the people are looking to Him for help. It reminds us of when Christ appeared to the people in the *Book of Mormon after His ministry, death, and resurrection in Jerusalem, and it specifically reminds us of *3 Nephi 11:11. In the scripture, Jesus Christ had just appeared and is testifying of Himself.

3 Nephi 11:11:

"11 And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."

We love how Christ introduces Himself as the light of the world. He certainly is the light in the picture. He also has His arm stretched out inviting the struggling people to come unto Him. The contrast between the struggling people and the little girl in the picture who has already come unto Christ and taken His hand is stark. She is smiling and looks happy. Hola! Soy la Hermana Cook y soy una misionera de la iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días y algo que la iglesia nos invitó hacer este año era reflexionar y orar acerca de cómo escuchamos Jesucristo y nuestro Padre Celestial. Y yo estaba invitado a compartirlo con ustedes! Ha sido algo en que yo ha pensado mucho cómo yo le escucho. La mayoría del tiempo, le escucho en mi mente. Algunas días levanto con algo en mi mente que Jesucristo quiere que haya. La manera que le escucho es que Él me dijo algo que hacer y necesito actuar. Es algo que me motiva seguir adelante, es algo que necesito compartir de las escrituras, es algo que vine a mi mente, algo que me motiva para crear un milagro. Es algo que yo he prometido que hacer… que trataré ayudar un milagro pasar. Eso es cómo Le escucho. Le escucho medio de las cosas que otras personas me dicen, lo que leyo en las escrituras, y la manera que me causan sentir. Cómo Le escucho es en mis sentimientos. Es algo consolando y amando y algo que me motiva para ser como Él. Hay unas escrituras que están encontrado en el Libro de Mormón y está en Alma capitulo 5, versiculo 14 "Y ahora os pregunto, hermanos míos de la iglesia: ¿Habéis nacido espiritualmente de Dios? ¿Habéis recibido su imagen en vuestros rostros? ¿Habéis experimentado este potente cambio en vuestros corazones?" Y eso es algo que pasa cuando le escucho. Mi corazón bata tan fuerte también en mis oídos y tengo escalofríos en mis brasos, y so sé que Él está hablando conmigo. Está invitandome actuar a hacer que un milagro suceda y también en lo mismo capítulo de Alma en versiculo 26 dice, "Y ahora os digo, hermanos míos, si habéis experimentado un cambio en el corazón, y si habéis sentido el deseo de cantar la canción del amor que redime, quisiera preguntaros: ¿Podéis sentir esto ahora?" Y es algo que quiero invito cada uno de ustedes hacer es para pedir si misma, ¿han recibido su imagen en sus rostros? ¿Han cantado la canción del amor que redime? Porque es algo que tengo la opertunidad que hacer completamente por 18 meses y estoy emocionada y bendecida para escucharle cada día. Y sé que cada persona por causa que somos diferente y únicos de maneras especiales, que todos nosotros tenemos la oportunidad pedirle, ¿cómo te escuho, Padre Celestial? ¿Como puedo ser una herramienta en tus manos? Y yo sé que mientras empezamos cantar la canción del amor que redime, podríamos escucharle y sentirle y sentir del amor que Él tiene por nosotros. Por eso, les invito escucharlo y mientras le escuchan, actúen. Escuchar de las cosas que Él tiene que decirlas y luego hacerlas y sé que mientras acercamos a nuestro Padre Celestial, y Jesucritso que nuestra mundo mejorará y que nosotros mejoraremos.
