A journey of a thousand miles starts with just one step, they say. For me the journey was not only bumpy but gruelling too. However, all that is in the past. It is finally here!

I have had so many motivators and cheerleaders along the way. Most of them showed up each time I felt like quitting.

Many thanks to wifey, siblings, parents, many relatives and friends for the invaluable support throughout the journey. It will be a gross miscarriage of justice for me to wind up without mentioning God's guidance throughout the journey. He was indeed my Shepherd.

INTRODUCTORY BACKGROUND
Give a concise background and briefly introduce your issue. Many have the assumption that all the board members know the issue. suffering from what I call "presumption syndrome".

VALUE PROPOSITION
The value proposition to your proposal should be crystal clear. If possible use bullet points. Avoid being too wordy.

PROJECTIONS
If it is a business proposal, make sure you have put in some projections with ratios. Graphs can help you communicate better.

RISKS & MANAGEMENT ACTIONS
Trust me, there is no proposal without risks. Try identity them and make your proposal acceptable, but indicating management actions to mitigate every risk identified.
