WGSS Teaching Assistant and 2023 recipient of the Betsey Stockton Award for Feminist Writing Liz Myers spoke at Commencement Friday afternoon. 'Elizabeth Myers discussed the importance of building a community during her address to the Boardwalk Hall audience... Myers credited the Stockton community, her friends in the Literature program and her mother with helping get her to where she is today. “No one among us is an island. We draw strength from each other, and share our success as a community,” said the Bachelor of Arts graduate in Literature. “We hold in our hands now what is perhaps the most valuable thing a person can possess, a driving force for empowerment on a societal scale: an education. And with that education, a passion. A sense of intellectual curiosity. A drive to see the world for what is and to reimagine what it can be... I am of the firm conviction that anything is possible when a group of people is annoying enough,” Myers said. “So be annoying. Refuse to settle for mediocrity and false promises. But most importantly, leave here today with an emboldened desire not just to learn, but to care, and to act on it.”'

In comparison, last year’s MLB World Series averaged 9.11 million viewers for the series. That record was broken just days later, with the NCAA Final Four semifinal matchup between Iowa and UConn averaging more than 14.2 million viewers, with 16 million tuning in at peak viewership."

This is not an April Fool's Day joke...seriously❕️

‼️ The LAST DAY to withdraw from a full-term course for the Spring 2024 semester is Thursday, April 4th.

❓️What does it mean to withdraw from a course??
A withdrawal from a course is when you withdraw from a course for the remainder of the term (so you no longer need to complete the assignments for that course). But note that this does NOT remove the course from your transcript! Instead, the course appears as a W on your academic transcript.

A course withdrawal can be completed online. To view the Withdrawal course procedure, click on the link in our bio.

Have immediate questions regarding course withdrawals?
📌Email [email protected] or call (609) 652-4505 to speak with an ARHU staff member.
📌OR email [email protected] or call (609) 652-4504 to speak with an Academic Advisor.

Big news for LGBTQ+ business owners! Yesterday, both the Senate and Assembly passed, with bipartisan support, a bill formalizing an "LGBTQ+ business" certification process.

The bill (A3330/S1313) codifies existing guidance, meaning certified businesses will now be permanently eligible for opportunities available to businesses owned by other underrepresented communities. Advocacy on this bill, which will help close some of the economic gaps faced by LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs, was spearheaded by our partner the New Jersey Pride Chamber of Commerce.
