Quarantine: Day 300. The demons are calling my soul. I refuse to hear them, but they are there. The plight of my 20's was an awkward blind date with these faceless formless v***rs. Some say these apparitions are manifested by the very mind upon which they torment; demons of design, so to speak. Demons of demise more like. And if you have the mental fortitude to stare that abyss in the eye, one will not succumb; but flourish under the realization that we are who we are, and that is all we are, and any affliction, however self imposed, shall iluminate the path to true virtue and righteousness. But this takes effect only if one can look the faceless formless v***r in the eye. The path is rocky and littered with potholes as the air wofts the scent of manure and chicken f***s. Any reality can be inhabitable if you're open to change. It's just as peace for the spider is chaos for the fly, and vice versa. A choice has to be made. Are you the spider living in peace? Or the fly living in chaos? I think the real question is, "Do the spider and fly recognize the other's state of peace and chaos, respectively?" Perhaps the higher point of human being is the ability to understand and logicize for oneself where exactly in the fold we belong. I believe the choice to be made there is one requiring conviction. Not everyone has that. But I recognize this, and to my own ends will use this knowledge to triumph over mine enemies. "This is conviction. What I have inside you will never possess." Later.
