The difference this guy has made to the professional actors in the Grimsby area (and beyond) is immense!! I don't know if it's the increased confidence I feel I have now since attending the classes, or the broadening network Acting Lincs has brought to the area, but I have personally gained more success and opportunities since this great group resource has been created by Lee himself. Long may it continue!!

As we launch our new look on Social Media, I want to take a moment to acknowledge our incredible founder Lee Waddingham (no this is not Lee writing this!). Being Grimsby born and returning to the town after 28 years professional experience around the country, he is back offering a wealth of knowledge and experience to actors in Grimsby. We all admire the passion and love that Lee has for all the members of Acting Lincs and we can’t wait to carry on working with him. - Charlotte Mayes

✒️ Tale Teller - Sara Beasley

Our next Tale Teller is ... Sara Beasley.

Sara's first taste of writing was whilst studying for a Drama degree at the University of Lincoln as a mature student, where she graduated in 2006 with a 1st class (Hons) degree.

After participating in a writing course run by Hull Truck's Nick Lane, in 2013 she went on to co-found a new writing theatre company called Breakwater Theatre Company, based in Cleethorpes. Sara has had numerous pieces performed through Breakwater, as well as having a piece chosen for the Scratch at Head Festival: a collaborative event run by Ensemble 52 and Battersea Arts Centre.

Last year saw Sara commissioned by the Culture House and Walk the Plank to write a short film called 'Tea Break' for the Festival of the Sea, Grimsby.

Sara is thrilled to be a part of Magna Vitae's Audio Trail project and hopes you enjoy listening to her period piece based on the Lincolnshire Landgirls.
