📣 Positive Action Funding – INNOVATOR STIGMA FUNDING: APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED

We are extending the deadline to our Innovator Stigma open call for proposals, focused on community-based and community-led innovative approaches to address the multiple layers of stigma that impact People Living with HIV (PLHIV).

Grants of up to a maximum of £100,000 per applicant will be awarded for project implementation over a two-year period (£50,000 per year).

🌍 From my wooden desk in Lusaka using salesforce as a CRM too for the grants management process to the SalesForce Tower headquarters in London UK🏢

Today was a momentous occasion as I stood in awe at the SalesForce Tower in London, reflecting on the incredible journey that led me here. Eight years ago, I embarked on my professional voyage, working for an FCDO-funded program dedicated to making a difference in the world. Utilizing SalesForce as a CRM tool to streamline grants management, a pivotal aspect of my work.

Stepping into the SalesForce Tower felt surreal, knowing that the very tools we utilized daily were developed within these walls. It was a testament to the power of technology and innovation in driving meaningful change on a global scale.

T H U R S D A Y 💚💚

Today, I had the privilege of sitting down at the House of Parliament to discuss a pressing issue: how we can harness the widespread popularity of football to address HIV/AIDS and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) issues in Africa ?
I got the opportunity and privilege to give a brief intro about Tackle and what we do , where we work and why we use the methodology that we use and my amazing colleagues gave a demonstration of how we do it on the ground back home📍 and it was fantastic to watch.

As we deliberated, a crucial point emerged: the vital role that government support, particularly from the UK, can play in championing this work, especially amidst challenges in the donor funding landscape.

In recent years, the landscape of donor funding has become increasingly challenging, with cutbacks impacting crucial initiatives aimed at combating HIV/AIDS and promoting SRHR education. However, amidst these challenges, there is hope. H.E the Zambia high commissioner to London graced us with her presence and talked about what the UK government can do to support these initiatives further in Zambia and other African countries.

😎We also got a tour of the House of Parliament ! Being in the House of Commons , House of Lords - walking the path where the Queen & King passes was unreal !!

At half passed midnight , à little queen was removed from my belly as I lay still on the operation table. She choked on the amniotic fluids and the doctor had to do all she can to save her life. A few seconds later she cried.
I had to wait 2 days before holding her in my arms as she was being observed and fed glucose.
2 years later here we are kwapulaling cause she is miss smarty pants 🤭
