Reels are fun to make, but my unsteady hand and my phonecam can only do so much :D
In the end, pictures show it the best, so heres the Simia set in all its glory 🔥
The shield is made out of the low density black foam from .be reinforced with denim so its less bendable under a hit.
I think i would try the ultra high density foam next for similar shields.
The hammer has a fiberglasscore covered also in low density foam, edges reinforced with denim so that the hammer cant rip if someone should pull on it.
The details on both are made with the 3mm high density foam
Finished up with liquid latex, colour and isoflex :3

🌿First one of my tropical Poison Ivy photos we took in the shoot with 🌿
This is also a photo straight out of the camera that didnt really need an edit.
There will follow some that brix edited, iam exited to see how they will turn out!

This is the latest spear i built.
With a height of 220cm a reinforced tip u can thrust with but doesnt wobble too much, coated with latex and the metal finish was made with dark chrome allclad
The pictures turned out pretty dark, thats what u get when u take pictures in a hurry and dont check the lighting😅

Iam finally able to show u one of my latest larp weapon comissions!
This was a custom order for a chaos infected trident
Its reinforced so its able to handle thrusts but doesnt wobble all over the place. Aaaaand it glows in the dark every so gently and sinister :3
I had a ton of fun crafting it and experimenting with weathering techniques, iam a little sad that the topcoat made the rust shiny again, maybe ill find a way to change that in the future.
Very exited to see it in action! ❤️

Another reparation done!
This flail was almost ripped off its chain and with its latex coat it wasnt sure if i could dare to glue it back together with patex.
But this worked in the past, it seems only fresh latex without a topcoat cant stands the fumes of patex, but i also just could have been lucky.
I cut open the ball, reinforced it with some fabric, glued it back together and made the seams invisible with flexipaint dried up to a paste.
New colour, highlights and topcaot later its as good as new, i cant wait for the next larp season to see this baby in action!
