Hello!
As we are all returning on site to Bower next week, here’s an update on what’s happening.
After discussing with some Lecturers about what the best way to go about doing these sessions would be, there are two options.
🎞1- Rod runs extra support sessions every Tuesday morning which we can sign up to. However these will need to be in groups of 6. We can sign up as a female collective, however depending on Rods timetable with the workshop space and how many of us want to participate in this, it may be first come first serve.
🎞2- I will continue to email the lecturers and book sessions out of university hours, this will be probably starting in November.
We will all be put into mixed gender workshop groups for documentary, if people can keep in touch and let me know if you all still want to have female only extra sessions once these timetabled workshops begin.
These workshops will only be able to take place if there’s a high demand for them, so if you want it please keep asking for it!

Hello! This page is for female uwe filmmaking students. I’m Stella and I’ll be sharing information on upcoming workshops for kit that we will have access to use. Due to covid-19 we have to be patient with the university as groups of 6 have limited our accessibility, bust safety first. These workshops are to make sure we are recieving the equality we expect at university, focusing on: kit, workshops and set etiquette. The aim is that these workshops will make us feel more confident, secure and assertive as female filmmakers within a very male dominated and controlled industry.
