Gardening Under Quarantine

Spring has finally sprung in the Midwest, and not a moment too soon. With most of us quarantined at home except for essential workers (hats off to you folks!), what better time to grow something?

In my home state of Ohio, and hopefully everywhere else (even Michigan, thankfully), garden centers can take orders for curbside pickup. If you're anything like me, part of the fun is wandering through the greenhouses and looking at all the plants just bursting with potential. At least half my purchases are an impulse buy.

Not this year though, but I still want to grow things, and I most definitely want to support my local plant businesses, who depend on the next six weeks for their entire profit for the year. Think about that -- they have invested in the growth and/or purchase of these plants and have to sell everything in April and May to have money to stay in business for the rest of the year.
