In view of upcoming elections, Jammu and Kashmir Congress president Vikar Rasool Wani visited Banihal area of Ramban on Saturday and asked party workers to gear up for the upcoming elections.
Addressing the meetings of party leaders and functionaries at Banihal today, Vikar Rasool Wani said that we have to win both Lok sabha and assembly elections with great margin.
He also said that PM Narendra Modi ji is in hurry in view of coming elections to inaugurate incomplete projects like Railway line upto Sangaldan as it's not fully connected.
"The railway project from Udhampur – Katra was completed by Congress Government headed by Dr Manmohan Singh but not inaugurated by him, despite fully completed, due to lack of final technical clearance. Just after a month after taking over as PM, Modi inaugurated the said project as a result the train with passengers remained struck up on way for full day, due to Modi’s publicity hunger, " Vikar said.
He said the work on Banihal- Baramulla stretch was also completed and train started by Dr Manmohan Singh Government while the Work on the Katra – Banihal link including the highest bridge was in progress and still incomplete except the small portion of Sangaldan to Banihal but inaugurated pre- maturely for election’s to mislead the people outside J&K by media publicity.

Very slow movement on Jammu-Srinagar NHW due to single lane and poor surface at Dalwas, Cafeteria-Mehad, Panthyal, Gangroo, Nachlana, Kishtwari Pather etc. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline, overtaking will lead to congestion.
Moreover, people are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan as yesterday’s down traffic has been not cleared yet due to road issues at a number of places.
