We just finished installing two of these package units at the diner (Finally Ours), we had these finished in less than a day. We also increased the heating and cooling capacities due to the load from all the restaurant equipment. Now we can enjoy their great food in comfort ❄️

We are very excited to announce the arrival of the Mitsubishi whole house heat pump!

This heat pump can be installed on any forced air furnace. Many improvements have been made to heat pumps over the years such as efficiency and low ambient heating down to -13°. The biggest selling point of this unit is reducing heating and cooling costs substantially. Mitsubishi claims this unit should cut your fuel costs in half or more with a properly sized unit.

What a odd service call this was

This customer has a 2 stage oil fired maple syrup evaporator and it had quit working in the busiest time of the year for his business. He could not find a local company to work on it until he called us. We were glad to get this unit up and running, after a couple adjustments he was back in business! 🍁

This is a very common question our customers typically ask. Yes we service and install oil units very often. Every oil job we do, we have a very strict check list we complete and every unit gets set up with a device called a combustion analyzer. This customer called us with a emergency service call. We found out his casting on his boiler had cracked which was causing an excessive amount of water to leak all over the floor. We discussed sticking with oil vs propane and it was no brainer for him to switch.

We installed a high efficiency Ideal condensing boiler, we switched him from a indirect (hot water storage tank) to a domestic water heat exchanger. This heat exchanger will provide him with endless hot water similar to a on demand water heater. We also did some much needed piping upgrades while we had everything apart. On top of all those upgrades his heating bill should be significantly less.

Mitsubishi’s are back in stock!

Last week we installed 2 Mitsubishi Hyper Heat (heat pumps) with 6 indoor units. This customer in particular was spending around $10,000 a year in just fuel costs. With this new Mitsubishi system the customer should save between 40-70% of that large heating bill and have a cool house in the summer.

NY has developed a new law/regulation to phase out all fossil fuel heating by 2030! We believe this is very aggressive and ambitious of NYS but we are ready.

NY plans to change the way you heat your home. Gas, oil, propane furnaces to be phased out The state Climate Action Council today approved policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

When should you have your furnace or boiler maintenance?

It is recommended that homeowners should have their furnaces maintained once a year.

Why?

Your furnace is a controlled fire inside your home. Many electrical components work together to make sure this is done safely. However, these components are not fail proof. What is this picture of?

We have been receiving many service calls with this colder rainy weather we have been having. This is a picture from a service call Dustin went on last Thursday.

This picture is the worst thing you ever want to find on a forced air furnace. The main component (the heat exchanger) had cracked. This can cause carbon monoxide poisoning to those inside the home. Almost 50,000 people a year are hospitalized due to carbon monoxide poisoning in the U.S. and some of those cases are fatal.

Before we even diagnose or preform a maintenance we do a very thorough inspection to ensure safety of the unit. Don’t put yourself in harms way. Install carbon monoxide detectors, check to make sure none of the existing detectors are expired. (Some expire as early as 1 year) Have your furnace inspected and maintained yearly by a trust worthy company.
