Oh sweet Emmet. I’m so thankful God let us be your family. You are the sweetest little bean, growing like a w**d (13.1 lbs!), and sleeping and nursing like a champ still!
We all love you so much and are just so enamored with you 💝 Fay thinks you’re the best thing ever still which has calmed my mama heart so much.
And I think it’s super adorable that you have a ticklish back just like your daddy 🥰

Get your veggies in!
Veggies are so so important for overall health! My shake on its own is super nutrient dense but I always like to hide some extras in there 💪
Today was a couple celery sticks and lots of spinach! Mixed with a mini orange, powdered peanut butter, 1/2 banana, oats and topped with almond milk with my chocolate shakeo and it was a super filling breakfast!
What veggies do you hide in your food to get more in??

Night 1 of ‘no snacks after dinner’ challenge!
I think tonight will be the hardest because I’m focusing on it but I’m really looking forward to seeing how I feel after a full week of this challenge as well as incorporating my new nutrition program!
I know I use nursing at night as an excuse to have too many snacks but I know I’ve had enough food during the day to maintain my supply and I’m focusing on more liquids at night especially to make sure that I’m supporting my body making enough milk for little mister Emmet ☺️

It’s a number..

There was a time, not very long ago, that this number would never have been talked about freely. And if it was, it would be in hushed, embarrassed tones. And it certainly would not be put on the internet for all to see 😳
But the truth is, this number has no value of my worth a a human, mama, wife, friend, daughter. It’s simply my relation to gravity on the planet we live on. And on a different planet, this number would be different.
I realized I needed to stop living in fear of this number and start simply working towards being the healthiest person I can be. I hope you will do the same.
Because whatever your number might be, it has ZERO to do with your worth as a human either 💝
You are wonderful, beautiful and so much more than a number on a scale. It’s time we all start truly loving in the freedom of this realization 🎉👏💝
TRUE STORY
One time, while vacationing in California, some friends and I were walking down the street in Huntington Beach and we were having a super fun night.
Then a group of drunk guys walked down the street in front of us and one of the guys proceeded to tell the other two friends I was with how amazing they looked. Then he turned to me and said ‘you could be pretty too if you lost a lot of weight’.
Um. What?
Oh is that what it will take, random stranger, for you to objectify me also?
This drunken proclamation from a COMPLETE stranger gutted me.
As someone who has always been sensitive about my looks and weight, having someone completely random say exactly the things you think about yourself to you hits you like a ton of bricks. I let this experience ruin too many days after.
I’m (slowly) coming to accept and be so appreciative of my body, even if it doesn’t fit the image I want it to in my head. My body is amazing and yours is too. Whatever you may think of it or what anyone else has told you. You are amazing and your body lets you do amazing things.
Thank it with good food, movement, rest and sleep.
Celebrate it in the form it is in RIGHT NOW.
Not when you get to the *ideal* weight or *perfect* size. Right. Now.
And don’t let anyone, even yourself, ruin your days because of what they or you say about yourself. Life is too precious and short and worry about what you look like to others.

Self care.
We hear this term a lot these days and for me it used to mean doing something.
A workout.
Reading.
Some kind of action.
One day it will mean that again but these days it means sneaking down to our guest room to have a nap when my two kiddos naps align.
And it’s delightful🥰
I look forward to the day, soon, when it means working out because I love moving my body but in these days of broken sleep with a newborn, I will relish the extra rest ☺️

Postpartum
It’s a crazy period of time under normal circumstances but add in a global pandemic and everything is just way crazier.
This little guy has been a champ and is making the transition to two kiddos smoother than I thought it would be.
Little Fay is the sweetest big sister and loves Emmet so much which definitely makes being home alone with these two all day during the week much easier than I thought it would be (not easy by any means- just easier than I imagined lol).
And I’m slowly getting into a groove which is helping my mental health so much. I am hoping to start being able to carve out some morning time to pick up my personal development books again and start pressing into my business more!
But for right now, enjoying these newborn snuggles is so important for my mental health too that I will soak them all up 🥰
But seriously- when do the night sweats end??? Haha 😅
Some days...
Some days you get overlapping two hour naps and can also take a 2 hour nap and others you get a whiny toddler all morning and a newborn that won’t let you put them down.
It’s all about balance right?! Lol I’ll enjoy the snuggles either way 🥰

We love you so much little mister! The last few days we’ve been getting into more of a routine instead of feeling like we’re running around with our hair on fire 🤪
You are so loved little buddy and you are so sweet 🥰 we are enjoying your snuggles and soaking in your sweet newborn phase so much and I can’t remember what life was like before you came into our family 💝

In these crazy times...
I’m grateful I make my health a priority.
I’m grateful I don’t have to go out of my house to get in an amazing workout or fantastic nutrition.
I’m grateful that I own my own business where I don’t have to go somewhere that might be closed down to earn money.
I’m grateful that I get to stay home with my beautiful daughter, even when it’s hard and crazy.
I received my highest paycheck today for my business and it feel SO amazing to know that I’m helping others achieve their health goals as well as start their own businesses where they are able to make their dreams come true also!

Current workout situation
I’ve been having quite a lot of false labor contractions and my hips have been hurting lots these last few days so I’ve just been over here, bouncing on my ball!
I’ll be getting back into some exercises today just to move my body and get my hips moving a bit more but also trying to take it a bit easy as we get closer to my due date!
The challengers in our group are still working hard on their health and I’m so proud of them!

I’ve had this Fitbit Versa 2 since the end of November and I’ve climbed 500 floors of stairs since then!
I don’t work in an office where I used to run up and down between floors. I am a work at home mama.

Watching Mission Impossible: Fallout. I seriously LOVE the Mission Impossible movies and when I was pregnant with Fay, this one came out but I had such high blood pressure they told me I couldn’t watch any action movies lol so I waited until it came out on DVD and got it right away and I’ve watched it probably 6 times all the way through. Same with all of the others.
These movies make me so happy and are so well done that when I just want to flop out and watch something amazing, these are my go to movies ☺️

This picture was taken 1 month after Fay was born.
I wanted family photos so bad to capture our newest addition and after, I could barely look at them because I can’t even recognize myself. I know my body went through so much but in the months that followed these pictures, I felt more and more lost because I was consumed with being a new mama and pumping full time to feed her.
I barely was able to enjoy just having Fay and being a new mama because I was filled with anxiety every moment.
This time around, I’m so thankful that I have been taking the time work work on myself every day. Working on my mind, emotional health and physical health has been so great for me preparing for this new baby!
Mamas- I see you. Whether you’ve just had a baby or they are a few years old and you haven’t been able to take time for yourself in that time. I see you 💝
I will be starting a new fit club March 2 and I would love to have 3 mamas join me in it! We will motivate each other, hold each other accountable and lift each other up to be the healthiest version of ourselves!

This was the direct result of my hard work. Not everyone appreciates before and after pictures as it might say that our bodies aren’t perfect as they are but I know for me, when I don’t have to pack around needless weight and I can have more energy for myself, my family and my friends, that is why I press play every day!⠀⠀
I am learning to appreciate every form my body is in and love it well with my personal development, physical movement and more focused nutrition and I know how amazing I feel when these aspects are maintained!⠀⠀

I don't want my pre-baby body back!⠀⠀
Seriously guys, there is so much pressure on mamas to 'snap back' or 'get their body's back' after having babies. And that is wrong. Just plain wrong.⠀⠀
You grew a miracle. You then birthed that miracle. And then you are sustaining the life of said miracle. ⠀⠀
Your body will never, ever be the same. Because it changed, in every single possible way. You took on a whole new level of hormones as well as someone else's.⠀⠀
It's been said so many times, it feels like white noise at this point but we have to take the pressure off mamas to 'get back in shape'. I don't want my 'pre-baby' body back. I do, however, want to be strong and healthy for myself and my family.⠀⠀
And that is something entirely different! I want to be mentally, physically and emotionally stronger than I ever have been so that I am able to show up every day for these wonderful miracles and my amazing husband.⠀⠀
So, if you're sick of hearing about getting your body back after kids, this is a safe place. I will never put that out there because I know how damaging it is to hear and that it usually leads to feeling awful about a body that created such a beautiful thing and is therefore beautiful in whatever form it is. I have dreams and goals guys. I've been talking about them here vaguely for the past month or so but I want to talk to you about why I jumped into this opportunity and why I think God has called me to it!⠀⠀
I have always loved moving my body and working on upping my fitness and health levels so I can be the healthiest version of me for my family. Beachbody excels at making sustainable fitness programs that fit into any lifestyle.⠀⠀
I have been having a vision for a better life. One where Steve doesn't work himself to death doing what he does before he gets to see his kids grow up. One where he gets to be there for the little moments and the big ones with all of us.⠀⠀
I want to help my family financially. I am able to build a business AT HOME with pockets of time throughout the day. This isn't easy guys. This is hard work. BUT, the formula is simple. I don't need to make it more complicated for myself or my coaches and I don't need to reinvent the wheel or pave my own path to do that.⠀⠀
I craved accountability and community. This company and business plan gives me that on a huge scale. I am so proud of this company and how it makes sure that no coach can ever be in it for themselves. Because the only way to succeed is to help those who trusted you to sign up with you! Not just after workouts, (do that too! It's super important!) but in all areas of your life!⠀⠀
If you stay in the same place, you atrophy. Your body and mind are meant to be stretched and challenged! I am the first to want to stay comfortable and therefore the same but that isn't what we're here for!⠀⠀
When we step away from the comfortable, from the patterns that have kept us in the same place for so long, we start to stretch and grow. We are able to reach for something different than what we have if that is our goal and keep growing as a person! ⠀⠀
When I stepped back into coaching this year, I instantly remembered how amazing it felt to work on me every day. Mentally, emotionally, physically.⠀⠀
When I became a mama, I forgot who I was. I took a step back and accepted that I would need to take a backseat to my child. But I became lost in that. I started to look at the days I had with Fay with a type of anxiety. I needed to remember my purpose was a mama but also to be the person God made me to be.⠀⠀
When God started prompting me to get back into coaching, I was filled with doubt. I was filled with an uncertainty of whether I could do this again. I 'failed' the first time and didn't want to be vulnerable and put myself out there again. ⠀⠀
But He kept gently reminding me that it was through His power and love that all things are possible and I thought if He is calling me to this, then I better show up and do my part. Work on myself in this life that He has given me. He has called me to be a mama but also to be so much more and to help others to do the same.
STOP COMPARING!⠀⠀
I truly fall into the comparison game WAY too often but what I'm learning is that you can't truly compare yourself to anyone! Everyone's circumstances, challenges, successes and effort look completely different!⠀⠀
The only person I want to compare myself to, is me. Who I was. Where I'm going now. How I'm going to change things so I can achieve my goals.⠀⠀
It all starts and ends with me. Which is an amazingly scary thought because I reap the rewards of the effort I sow.⠀⠀

The rewards of my nutritional efforts daily.⠀⠀
The rewards in my business. How much growth I want versus how much effort I put in determines whether I will achieve my goals and dreams.⠀⠀
