Good firing today. We’ll see the results on Sunday afternoon.

Firing is finished! Started at 5:15 am shutdown at 4:30 pm. Cone 10 bending (2380 degrees F). Atmospheric temperature was 2263 degrees F

Notice how much clay is being used. Probably around 6 - 7 lbs of clay.

Good firing today. 5:30 am to 5:45 pm. Cone 10 was achieved (approx 2,350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Thanks for the help Rosamond Spring, Arthur Spring, Denise Potter, Daniel J. Hansen, Christine Condon and Laurie Yourk there was a lot accomplished. Glazes were measured out, 6 buckets of wood ash was sifted, floors were cleaned, cone packs were made and the kiln was shut down cleanly.

Kiln finished at 6 pm It would have finished about 45 minutes earlier but we had a thermalcouple gave out near the end of the firing.
Had to replace it next to the burner port which was radiating heat a 2000 degrees F. A bit tricky and an incentive to get it done swiftly.
We’ll find out Tuesday evening the results
