Friday's rally prep meet was a success. We had about 100 years of combined rally prep and racing experience crammed into the room, including 20 years of European rally, 2 SCCA RallyCross West Coast National Champions, and the Toddfather.

We are excited to announce our participation in the 2020 RallyX season!!!!! We are starting fresh, with a purpose built GC coupe platform. I am searching for someone interested in becoming a co driver. I don’t have any pre requisite requirements for experience, but would like you to articulate why you think your fit for the position. I do ask for a commitment to attending events. This is to ensure the course time for our communication to grow.

This will be my 2nd season competing in NWRA RallyX. My goal is to continue on to RallySprints, followed by Stage rally. Hints why I would like the experience to build a co driver relationship.

Key way on cam shaft rounded off, causing cam pulley to break into about 4 pieces. This caused timing belt failure, leading to bent valves.

Moral of the story, check your torque specs. It could be someone’s savings, or someone’s life.

Interested in rally but don’t know where to start? We get it, it can seem daunting but getting involved is the first step. ⁠

Some things you can do to get your foot in the door are… ⁠
1. Come to a race and just see what it is about. Rallycross, RallySprint or Stage Rally... join as a spectator or even better, volunteer to help the race run smoothly. Often, you don't need rally-specific experience for volunteer positions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠

2. Start with the car you've got and start with a rallycross. Don't spend too much time or money before trying a few races. Once you have a couple of events under your belt, you will know more about what class you want to compete in and the car that best suits you.⠀⠀⁠

3. Introduce yourself to other competitors at events and online then ask questions. Rally draws the friendliest, most helpful people (we promise) and there is no better resource out there than other competitors!⠀
