Happy Valentines!! Check out Neela's Lady lovebug look. She's definitely waay more creative than me. πβ€
Last night this happened. Neela asked to play with the MUA Kit. I had said no because we needed to have dinner. I should have known she was up to something since she was quiet for too long. And look who showed up to dinner... 'This is my sad face. And this is what happens when you don't let me use a facechart!'
I have 2 things to say, 1. Her artistry skills are on π₯ and 2. Black liquid eyeliner is beyond the best! Like WOW, the fluidity and pigment that a 6yr old could use it! It's my favorite and continues to prove so.

The perfect gift for the artist in your life. Design and colour multiple looks with The Colour Book. We promise it's hours of fun spent over those cold winter nights!
Iβve been asked a few times now, βIs that the same facechart as the last post?β YES!!!β Our Colour Book includes only 2 types of faces. 18 feminine faces and 10 masculine.
Why not more? I initially struggled with this. When conducting market research, almost every single person wanted a mix of ethnicities within the book.(I did too!) But what I also found, that when we put a specific face shape and features in front of a client to colour, naturally they would colour the face the stereotypical skin colour. In all honestly, I wanted to eliminate this bias that certain features belong to different ethnic groups. As we know, this is untrue.Β
The two faces I created are meant to be manipulated. Lines are lightened in the brows, nose and mouth area in order to create shapes of your choice. I did however choose to create large areas of space to allow for colour and design. Our facecharts arenβt a perfect representation of the world. With that said, I hope to encourage our users to use multiple skin tones, change their features and add hair as you see fit. (If you zoom in, you can see I closed the eyes of the face just by colouring over it!)

Today I tried to replicate 'Mudita' - a beautiful project done by 3 amazing artists! holiCHICβ’ by Megha Rao] x x . This brown girl magic is truly mesmerizing. I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to see my daughter grow up in a world where she can see a representation of the blended culture she's raised in. And more importantly, to grow within a beautiful community of women who work together and raise eachother up!
Please go check out the real 'Mudita' limited edition holiCHICβ’ by Megha Rao], 15% of all sales are donated to .

Whoa whoa... where my brown girls at?! Before Mariah Carey defrosts... I need to celebrate my favorite fall holiday. DIWALI!! πͺπͺπͺ If you need me, I'll be here colouring - sippin' on Cha and eating homemade gulab jamuns. π
Hey there! π
Taking a moment to reintroduce ourselves to our new followers! Christine & Neela here. ππΎ We are the ones behind the the scenes here at the MUA Kit. Just us and our small business located in Abbotsford, BC. We started the MUA Kit during the lockdown and have been going strong since. The Colour Book was created by Neela who was constantly bored of her toys and not being able to interact with her friends.
We found a solution when we BOTH started to create makeup looks on printed out face charts. As I am a Makeup Artist and Neela got the creative gene, it was something that we could enjoy together.
Our kit is designed to use art mediums instead of makeup. We designed the Colour Book to allow the use of multiple art mediums that blend and mimic makeup. It's created with artistry grade paper to allow for wet and dry mediums. We combined it with a blendable watercolour palette and brushes to really give the feel of using makeup.
It doesn't stop here though, we have lots more in still to come! We are beyond excited to be launching some new products in the new year. Stay tuned!

We recreated this look from Her Halloween looks are π₯π₯π₯! Check her out.
Did you know that around 4.6 million adults plan to be a witch for Halloween? Funny 'cause I'm a witch all year π
We used for this look and added some for some glam.
I call this one Pumpkin Spice. At this point I'm having more fun creating looks than the kids! The best part, I don't have to wash face paint off their face. And Neela gets to keep the looks!
