Building efficient, balanced, durable, and attractive racks for traveling far is a very satisfying exercise. I am very happy with these last ones, which will very soon enter a space portal to South Korea, and allow the transport of all the essentials needed for the next two months of discoveries, adventures, and on the path to some form of freedom...

I haven't been to my workshop much in the last couple of months, being busy freelancing for some clients.
And, very soon, I will be away for a couple more months, traveling.

Still, I wanted to take (and post) some pictures of the frame jig I finished building several months ago now. This work was a real challenge because it was the first time that I ever used a milling machine and a lathe. I learned so much from it (thanks to the good teachings of and with whom I share my workshop space ).
Even if it's kind of a basic frame jig, I managed to give it all the precision it needs for its purpose. Of course, it would also still needs a proper bench stand !

Step by step. It's a long process, but I'm almost there...

My good friend asked me to build a custom rack to fit his master wheelworks deliveries across London !
I'm honoured.
I've been riding his wheels for more than 10 years : never had a glitch, it's perfect craftsmanship !

I built this front rack for the new adventure of my friend Alexis Vassili Sacha Dawson , who has left Lille a few weeks ago to go on a journey without proper final destination or plan. Alexis is looking for more freedom, new horizons, time and subjects to write and to take photos.
