6️⃣…Let me repeat SIX Cenla Freshmen were selected to the various boys All-State freshman teams. Holy Savior Menard Central High School and South Beauregard each place two players on the Division 3 and 4 team, while ASH Trojan Soccer and Pineville High School each have one player selected!

31/03/2023

The final All-State team consists of two more players from Central Louisiana! Cenla MVP Will Triche (Pineville) is joined by Alexandria’s Aiden Crowell on the Division 1 Team!

👏 Congratulations to the 2023 LASC Division I Boys' Soccer All-State Teams!

✅ Dutchtown's Ethan Shanahan is your Division I Offensive Most Valuable Player. With 25 goal contributions out of a team-total 41 goals, from his midfield position the senior Griffin accounted for over 60% of his team's goals, leading Dutchtown to its 2nd straight state championship appearance.

✅ Although Catholic High was upset in the state quarterfinals by Dutchtown, there's little doubt that the Bears had some quality players, including senior midfielder Max Cavana. Cavana's middle name has been consistency, and as a three-year starter, this year he led a Catholic defensive scheme that conceded only 6 goals the entire season (a 0.33 goals against average) on its way to being the #1 seed heading into the playoffs. For his efforts, Cavana is recognized for the second straight year as the Division I Defensive Most Valuable Player.

👏 Dutchtown's coach Marcus Dyer takes home his 2nd Coach of the Year award in as many seasons. Dyer guided the #9 seed to victories over the #8, #5, and #1 seeds. Although the Griffins were unable to take out the St. Paul's Wolves in the final, for leading his squad to back-to-back state final appearances, Dyer is your Division I Boys' Coach of the Year.

31/03/2023

Congratulations to Alexandria’s Sarah Crenshaw who follows up her LHSCA Senior All-Star performance with a selection to the Division 1 All State team!

👏 Congratulations to the 2023 LASC Division I Girls' All-State Teams!

✅ Your Division I Girls' Offensive Most Valuable Player is Dutchtown Lady Griffin Soccer's Riley Hicock. With 18 goals and 24 assists the junior attacker led her squad to the state championship game and caps off her season with All-Metro BR OMVP, All-District Overall MVP, and now All-State OMVP!

✅ St. Joseph's Academy's senior defender Ellis Hosch is your LASC Division I Girls' Defensive Most Valuable Player. Hosch anchored a Red Sticker back line that recorded 16 shutouts on the season and gave up less than 1 goal per game on the way to capturing St. Joe's first state championship!

💍 St. Joe's head coach Kyle Carmouche led the Red Stickers to back-to-back state championship appearances, proving once again that the 2nd time is the charm! For leading his squad to the school's first girls' soccer state championship, Carmouche is your Division I Girls' Coach of the Year!

30/03/2023

Tioga’s Hannah Rice becomes the latest all state player selected from Central Louisiana. WTG!

👏 Congratulations to the 2023 LASC Division II Girls' All-State Teams!

6️⃣ In capturing its (record) 6th straight state championship, STM Girls Soccer sweeps the end of the year awards.

✅ Your Division II Offensive Player of the Year is St. Thomas More's senior Mary-Ainsley Alack, who takes home back-to-back state OMVP honors. The Samford commit scored 47 goals this season to bring her career total to 116 goals! And let's not forget she lead STM to back-to-back-to-back-to-back state championships along the way!

✅ As much offensive firepower as the Cougars had on the front line, the saying goes, "defense wins championships," and the Cougars were no slouch on the defensive side of the ball with senior Sophia Carriere leading the way. With her combination of size, speed, and athleticism, Carriere is known as one of the best defenders in the state. With her in the back line, the Cougars conceded only 15 goals all season (less than 0.5 goals a game) on their way to a 6th state championship in a row.

💍 In a season that saw his Cougars defeat the Division I and III state champions, coach Daniel Underwood led STM to its 6th straight state championship, and the program's 10th overall title. In leading the Cougar dynasty to fantastic results, Underwood is your Division II Girls Coach of the Year!

29/03/2023

Two more of our players receive All State recognition. Ella Reitzell (Grant High School) and Corrine Newman (South Beauregard High School). Congratulations on a great season ladies!

👏 Congratulations to the LASC Division III Girls' Soccer All-State Teams!

🥇For the big awards, it's another clean sweep by the state champion, Parkview Girls Soccer!

✅ Your 2023 D3 Offensive MVP award goes to the Eagles' Faith Johnston. Johnston netted a whopping 47 goals while serving up goals on silver platters for her teammates another 32 times! In so doing, the sophomore midfielder accounted for over 50% of Parkview's offense this season. As the main piece in a prolific offense that scored 150+ goals on the way to Parkview Baptist School's first state championship, Johnston takes home OMVP honors!

✅ Not to be outdone by the Eagle offense, sophomore Sara Ortlieb is described by her coach as "one of the most important and a beast defender on this team." Ortlieb's stingy defense in the middle of the park helped the Eagles give up less than a goal a game this season, and only 1 goal through 5 playoff games (4 shutouts). In anchoring the team's defensive efforts, Ortlieb takes home DMVP honors!

💪 Parkview Baptist School's head coach Raphael Nunes took his squad back to the state championship game for the first time since 2001. And not only did the Eagles get back there, they soared while they were there, taking home the school's first girls' soccer state championship! For his part in this historic season, coach Raphie takes home Division III Girls' Coach of the Year honors!

Congratulations to Grace Warriors Soccer’s Shealbie Whatley! 2022-2023 All State!

👏 Congratulations to your 2023 LASC Division IV Girls' Soccer All-State teams.

👀 The LASC Player/Coach of the Year awards are dominated by 2023 State Champion Isidore Newman School!

✅ Sophomore Claire Charpentier helmed a defense that conceded only 19 goals over 30 games, or 0.63 goals a game. And the Greenies only allowed 3 goals throughout the playoffs on their way to their 6th state championship in eight years!

✅ Senior Morgan LeBourgeois scored 22 goals and had 5 assists this season. The Greenie captain was the leading scorer on a team that outscored opponents, 94-19, including 24-3 in the playoffs. This prolific offense helped Newman capture the 2023 state championship!

✅ First year Greenie coach Doug Freese is this year's Division IV Girls Coach of the Year. His Newman squad had a stellar season, finishing with a 20-4-6 record and a state championship. See stats above from the MVPs for extra data :)

29/03/2023

Congratulations to the players (and coach) selected by the Louisiana High School Soccer Coaches' Association to represent Division 4 on their All-State team. Very well deserved for the boys from Grace Warriors Soccer and Holy Savior Menard Central High School! Ryan Hicks, our Cenla MVP, also earns MVP honors for the state. Well deserved Ryan!

Both teams represented the area well all year long!

👏 Congratulations to the 2023 LASC Division IV Boys' Soccer All-State Teams!

✅ Your Division IV Offensive MVP was tops in Division IV scoring (34 goals and 19 assists) and led Holy Savior Menard Central High School to its first ever state championship game. Congratulations to this year's Offensive MVP, junior Ryan Hicks.

✅ Your Division IV Defensive MVP captained a solid Episcopal School of Baton Rouge midfield, playing box to box defense while netting 18 goals to go along with his 10 assists. His leadership in the midfield led the Knight to their 2nd state championship, their first since 2013. Congratulations to this year's Defensive MVP, junior Alden Romano.

👏 In only his 2nd year at the helm, HSM Eagles' coach Elias Hanna took his squad to the school's first ever state championship game. For this feat, Hanna is this year's Division IV Boys' Coach of the Year! Hanna has now taken home LASC MVP honors and LASC Coach of the Year honors in a 5-year span!

The highest level of soccer in Central Louisiana just hit it out of the park with coaching hires!

Way to go Central Louisiana FC!

15/03/2023

With both celebrating district championships Sons Pathoumthong of Alexandria and Grant’s Cody Ray earn coach of the year honors for our large school girls team. Senior All-Star and Roanoke College signee Sarah Crenshaw leads the team and is joined by teammate Alexis Guillory on defense. Nicholls State commitment Hannah Rice and Grant’s Gracie Pettway share offensive honors for the team.

15/03/2023

With a run all the way to the State Championship, Menard places 10 players (9 underclassmen) onto the All-Cenla team for the Boys “small school” division. Menard first year ahead coach (and 2019 graduate) Elias Hanna is named coach of the year for his leadership along the way. Ryan Hicks picks up his second consecutive MVP award, while Grace Christian goalkeeper Ashton Cockerham and Jose Carreon of Glenmora also receive MVP recognition!

15/03/2023

First year head coach Brandon Martinez of DeRidder led a youth movement using several young players throughout the season on the road to a second round playoff appearance. Greg Comeaux of Pineville continually shuffled players around due to being hit hard by the injury bug throughout the season. With success throughout the season, both coaches share the Coach of the Year Award, and lead a team headlined by Pineville forward and LHSAA Senior All-Star Will Triche. Additionally, Aiden Crowell and Langdon Gosserand received Defensive and Offensive honors for their contributions to Alexandria Senior High School!

15/03/2023

Our first team is representative of our girls “small school” division. This team sees Grace Christian’s James Decker pick up his third consecutive Coach of the Year award. They are led by overall MVP, Jillian Gresham, as well as her Grace Christian teammate Shealbie Whatley who earns Offensive honors. The defensive MVP was shared by the shotstopper from Buckeye, Carlina Gomez and South Beauregard’s hard nosed defender/midfielder Corrine Newman. Congratulations to all of those selected!
