Thank you soooo much to everyone who has donated to the foster children I am helping this season. After the holidays I will be starting a nonprofit and make it official. I only threw this together less than 2 weeks ago and honestly blown away with the outcome so for. I look forward to next year when I have a whole year of planning instead of less than 2 weeks. I only have today and tomorrow to complete my donations so that I can have time to separate what I have, buy what I need, and give out on Wednesday. My goal is to hopefully reach another $300, which will be more than enough to make sure they have a great Christmas that they deserve. UPDATE: I just received the list of children in need of From now until MONDAY December 18, I will be collecting any donations you may want to contribute. I will personally bring these to my home case worker who will be able to provide these to families in need. Often, they have lots of toys for little ones, but struggle in providing gifts (such as gift cards) for older kids/teenagers. Any new & unwrapped gifts that you are willing to contribute ( for any age ) is so greatly appreciated and allows me to continue to support other families.

SIXTY TWO children in our community are with foster parents. They have welcomed them into their home and have minimal resources to provide them with a Christmas they deserve.

If you are able to make a contribution please send a message stating what or what age you will be providing for. This will allow me to know what I still need to purchase. I ( Kristen, Director )have recently completed my license for fostering children who are in custody of DCF. I attended lengthy meetings with wonderful educators, mentors and even children who were a part of the foster care system. My entire life, I have always known that I wanted to be an educator and as a mother I have been fortunate enough to be able to provide for my three children as well as open my home to other children in my family.

I am reaching out in hopes to help others during this Christmas season. During my home visit this week, I learned that toy drive organizations do not assist families who take in foster children. Those organizations only help parents who are reunited with their children. With little support for foster families my hope is to help provide christmas gifts for those children in DCF care. Although some families are prepared to receive foster children, there are times that emergency situations require emergency placement.

From now until MONDAY December 18, I will be collecting any donations you may want to contribute.
