Subject: First FUMC Council Meeting in 2024

Dear Members of the Council,

I hope this message finds you well 🙏🏻 In light of recent events and the challenging 🙏🏻circumstances faced by our church 💒 and community, I am writing to inform you about the upcoming meeting of the Council of the First United Methodist Church in Davao - Obrero District on January 21, 2024, at 1:30 , to be held at the FUMC church or if you have some suggestions for our meeting venue . Very important matters will be discussed and all Council members are encouraged to attend.
We all are aware of the series of tragic events these days ,earthquakes , fires, sickness, that have deeply affected us. it is crucial for us as a church to remain steadfast in our faith. Let us come together to discuss how we can support each other and our community during these trying times.
Another matter that needed our attention was the apparent exodus of members . We need to understand the reason for this alarming trend and, more importantly, formulate solutions to counteract it. Moreover, some plans , exciting projects and activities. 👍
Your insights and active participation are vital in retaining the strength and unity of our congregation. Together, let us navigate these challenges, support one another, and fortify our church community.

We are pleased to announce that the next FUMC Church Council meeting is scheduled for November 12, 2023. Your presence and input are vital as we gather to discuss and address pertinent matters.

To ensure a productive session, we kindly request the heads of lay organizations and committees to meet, discuss, and prepare reports to be presented during the upcoming meeting.

Reminder ko Lang po sa lahat that our regular council meeting will be tomorrow, Sunday 1:30pm.
I understand that not every committee and organization was able to meet, hence, unprepared to report, please don’t Let that prevent you from attending the church council meeting.👍
Alam nyo po, your presence is more important than anything because we will discuss and decide on important matters, including how organizations and committees can most efficiently coordinate to meet the local church’s desired objectives.
