This is a rare sighting…..me in the office on a Monday. Anyone who knows me, I prefer the remote work life. But with an upcoming 700 person conference, I needed all 3 screens. (For those who don’t know, I’m also an events/conference planner at my full time job)
I’m trying not to have a case of the Mondays and think positive thoughts. Here’s what I’m reflecting on to elk that…….I get to have natural light as I work and get to have a view into DC.

1 Year LLC-versary!
Wow, I can’t believe it! One year as an LLC and I couldn’t be happier or more proud! There have been many tears, DOUBTS, nervousness and sleeplessness nights BUT even more blessings, amazing clients, support from family/friends and learning experiences.
A huge thank you to those who have been along for the ride and those who just joined my journey! Especially those who pushed me creatively, even when I doubted myself.
For those who don’t know me personally yet, here are some fun facts about me:
1. My name is Michelle but those close to me call me Chelle (used to be spelled Cheyl 🙃)
2. I’m a wife, mom of 4 and MiMi to 2
3. I’m originally from Highland Springs, VA
4. My background is banking, program/project management and events
5. My very first event was my older sisters baby shower when I was 16
6. When I’m not planning events, I love to volunteer in a public ministry, cook and spend time with those I love

There’s a new B2E! Yes! There is a rebrand happening and I’m super excited!
I want to give a HUGE shoutout to my girl Tracey (HSHS unite 🙃) for upgrading my logo! Instead of my usual blue and dark, I went with softer, lighter and romantic tones.

Motivation Monday
I usually don’t post about my full-time job on this page but it really have me motivated today. You see, last week my boss and I pulled off our very first hybrid conference for 800+ attendees. Half online and the other half in person. Many months of working tirelessly to ensure COVID protocols were in tact, attendees felt safe, in-person and virtual experience creation, vendor management, etc etc. all while juggling other duties. (I also manage a program of 60+ppl) Oh did I mention we are a 2 person team? This was in no way easy and we faced doubt that we could pull it off.
At the end, we were presented with flowers and a beautiful speech by a colleague on the strength and bravery it took to pull such an event off by 2 staff members who are often not seen or appreciated.
Why Ami posting this you might ask? Well event planning is one of the most stressful jobs and it’s often not appreciated. But this demonstrated that there are people along the way who do see your hard work and are willing to give you your flowers now. This was my motivation to keep going, not just in my full time job but also in the business and brand I’m building. I’ve had some amazing clients who have been on this journey with me. And I appreciate y’all.
To my fellow event planners, I see you and the hard work you’re putting forth behind the scenes. It’s not just about what product or service you’re displaying, it’s also about the things people don’t see. Keep doing what you’re doing! Keep living your brand! I’m taking a few much needed days “out of the office” beginning at noon today through Sunday, October 17. This time of year is very hectic with my full-time job, along with all the other duties I juggle. To prevent burnout, I decided to take a quick trip with my hubby.

I know I should be sleep right about now (12:30 am on east coast) but I just arrived at my parents house for an event I have tomorrow. Well, the mother of my last client left a card and token of appreciation for me there. Y’all I am in tears! Can you say confidence boost!?
It’s one thing to work hard on your brand and to put a smile on clients faces but when others notice your gift and also put their trust in you! I can’t take credit for this gift because all that I am and all that I have comes from above! But it’s such an awesome feeling to be rewarded for the work that I do!

For the first time in a long time, I feel refreshed and ready to work after a vacation! (Much needed and deserved vacation in fact). This helped me to prepare for the week long conference and training I’m leading this week for my full-time job.
All last week I spent time with family on the beach, eating, on the beach again, sleeping, on the beach again and eating again lol. Can you tell I love the beach and food?
While away, I couldn’t help to think about the clients that I’ve served and will serve in the future and how GRATEFUL I am to be able to put smiles on your faces. I love what I do and I love that you love what I do too 😊. Thank you to the clients I “tried” to discuss business with while off that did not allow me to 🙃😉
