SO MANY DEVELOPMENTAL BENEFITS OF SWINGING
Swinging is not only fun for all children, but it can be calming to children who struggle to regulate and help children who need sensory stimulation for learning!
I talked about this so much today in the clinic. Simple ways to include deep pressure into your child's day.

Teaching motor planning doesn't have to be complicated. This was a challenging for my 4 year old to figure out how to climb up but by helping her break down the task and give tips on things to try she succeeded. She was thrilled with herself..
Highly recommend this summercamp. Antigravity is fun but most importantly it can improve your child's upper limb and hand strength, balance, coordination as well as providing them with sensory input to help them with their sensory processing difficulties. Contact Aisling reilly fitness..

A massive thank you to Emma and Aishling who came to the rescue with such short notice. Their excellent and timely input ensured that my son got his just RACE accommodations at the 11th hour. Emma promptly responded to my missed call at my initial point of contact. From therein her friendly and professional approach gave me the confidence that we were to be well looked after. Whilst Emma was not available at such short notice, she facilitated us with a cancellation appointment with Aisling instead. Aisling had as a lovely warm and welcoming demeanor that made my son feel totally at ease during his assessment. Like Emma her engagement with me was very open and clear and her experience shone through in her lovely approachable manner. She listened and understood both my sons and my concerns and swiftly made available the report so desperately needed. This positive experience has given me no hesitation in recommending the professional services available at Emma’s practice. A very valuable service that gives children the much needed supports they need in a professional, warm, understanding and encouraging setting. Brilliant work ladies!

What a fun way to get vestibular and proprioceptive input on a home made scooter board.
I recommend natural fitness activities the whole time in my clinic. This is a local antigravity fitness class that is just amazing for all skills such as sensory, upper body strength, core stability, streghtening the lower limb and general coordination. But most of all its FUN. That very important to a kid

As a parent our first instinct is to say "stop that's dangerous" -but this activity provides the body with so much sensory input that is required for regulation. It also provides upperlimb strength and helps with motor planning. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=188912506814174&id=100070862769287
WHY WE SHOULD LET OUR KIDS CLIMB UP THE SLIDE
Why climbing the slide is just as important as sliding down for learning and physical development. It's important to remember to encourage this activity only when other kids are not going down the slide to ensure safety.
Great tips from Sara at Sycamore Psychology.
