A little sunshine ☀️ for his pocket
Pocket squares for the groom or the entire gentlemen's party are a chic, modern addition to any wedding vibe. They can range from classic to highly conceptual, suiting a signature style.
This past week, I’ve been experimenting with my little homegrown zinnias in a hydration chamber to see how well they hold up as a boutonniere or pocket square. The results have been surprisingly long-lasting! They can easily make it through an 8-hour wedding day. I'm so excited about this!
Heading into a wedding marathon next week through the end of October. During that time, I'll be posting less and creating more, and I can't wait!
Be well, all 🩷
I'm ready for it 🍁
Some gorgeous organic blooms from a year ago, sourced from the most wonderful little flower farm in Frederick, Colorado, . If you want some feel-good content in your feed, give Liz and her family a follow.
Summer set of 6 🌸
Let's chat about centerpieces -
Did you know your reception table centerpieces can make up a big portion of your floral budget? Let’s break it down. For a guest count of 120, you’ll likely have around 15 tables (assuming 8 guests per table). If you choose a medium-sized, traditional floral centerpiece in a popular compote vessel, prices start at $300 per piece — that’s a total of $4,500 +.
This works if your floral budget is $12,000, but what if you’re working with $6,000?
Please ref above photo and consider treating your guests to whimsical, seasonal sets of 6 bud vases on reception tables — a delightful garden- style alternative for $2, 250.

I'm always happy to talk about flowers! Let me know if you have any questions.
Here's one
What happens when I pre-order something big for a client’s wedding, and nature says, "Nope, not today!"?
I’ve got backup solutions ready—a Plan B and C—because sometimes the unexpected happens. And when those plans aren't an option, I’ll go to the ends of the earth to make it work. Every reputable florist will. It’s part of why you hire us.This behind-the-scenes drama happens more often than you’d think, but my clients rarely know—unless I need their approval to make an major on-the-fly change.
Because at the end of the day, it's about creating magic, no matter what. And that's what I love most about what I do. 😘
Panda Power! 🐼
Panda anemones, that is.
Let’s chat about these beauties! I love anemones, and so do many brides. They come in a stunning range of colors—like red, the classic black and white you see here, purple, and vibrant fuchsia. They also have a pretty reasonable vase life, so they can stay fresh throughout your event. Plus, anemones are generally available year-round, thanks to imports, they’re at their very best in early spring when sourced from local growers.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind. Anemones are quite delicate and don’t tolerate being knocked around or squished at all. Like poppies, their petals are especially fragile and need to be handled with care.
If you’re planning a spring wedding, their unique charm could make them the perfect flower choice for you! May and June dates for 2025 are filling up fast on our calendar, so if you're planning a spring wedding, please get in touch with us as soon as you can. 🤍
I missed International Dog Day yesterday.
This is my dog, Shasta. I got her at 8 months old from a Craigslist ad that said she needed to be re-homed because she kept running away. Well, she ran right into my car when I went to see if she would be a good match for our family. Actually, she ran right into my heart.Though she hails from a backyard breeder in Wellington, Colorado, she has traveled all over America with me. A valued member of my team, she has been a flower collar model since she was 1 year old. It’s funny; she seemed less annoyed by it when she was younger. She’s now 7, going on 8, and has no problem communicating when she thinks something is annoying or stupid. You can kind of see it in this photo.
We are best friends forever. 💗 I wish every single person on Earth could know what it's like to love and be loved by a dog. It is a gift.
Happy day after International Dog Day!

Season's greetings 🌸
A truly enjoyable Saturday morning involves visiting an organic flower farm I've been excited to collaborate with for months! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and taking a tour, where I said 'hello" to some of my favorite blooms and discovered new flowers and greenery that thrive in New England ecosystems.
Image one: Orchid Dahlia - short vase life, really short, unfortunately. Nonetheless, a true must see show stopper!
Image two: Silky pouches with drawstrings used to protect Dahlia blooms from hungry bugs. A very sustainable solution.
Image three: Apple of Peru - a delightful new discovery!
Image four: A photo opportunity I couldn't resist! Here's a picture with Sharon, the owner of . 🙂
10/10 - You will see her flowers in my upcoming weddings!
Nature does it best.
Every time I'm out for a stroll with my pup, I find myself in awe of the impeccable perfection of design in nature. I am constantly chasing it, studying it, photographing it, admiring it, and working very hard to level up the quality of my design to mimic its grace.
The life of a florist in love with her craft, seeking the most intentional design possible because I want to pass on the beauty of nature's design to my friends, family, and most importantly, my clients.
Remnants of Spring
The tiny window in which a Lily of the Valley bouquet can be purchased for your wedding is precious and small, just like the blooms themselves. Even in its season, one might consider it a luxury flower as each stem can cost up to $12. A small price to pay for those brides that love this flower above all else.
Whimsical, yet timeless 🤍
Reframed + Refreshed
I went to the yesterday with my fam and I feel like a whole new wave of late summer creative inspiration has washed over me. It's amazing how stepping out into the August heat and listening to incredible live music will do that. 🙌 What perfect timing with four more gorgeous weddings to flower this season! I can't wait!!
This is a concept bouquet.
While this bouquet is undeniably show-stopping, it may not be entirely feasible for your wedding day. It contains delicate blooms and trailing greenery that are prone to wilting and/or breaking very easily. There are many beautiful bouquets like this on Pinterest, and I enjoy looking at them too!
The allure of Instagram and Pinterest concept bouquets lies in the artful presentation, carefully crafted to appear fresh and flawless, often held in a manner that a real bride would never do.
For those planning a wedding, I recommend creating an Inspiration board that strikes a balance between real wedding inspirations and artful concept florals. By doing so, your florist will be equipped to realistically bring your vision to life with a curated blend of wedding-worthy florals that showcase the overall mood and aesthetic you wish to portray on your special day.
Pink napkins and chairs + all the pretty details that goes with 💕
I read somewhere about a year ago that the use of bud vases compromises luxury floral design. And I thought about that for way longer than I should have, and even quite embarrassingly in hindsight, repeated it a few times. Here is my opinion now: No, they absolutely do not. Well-designed bud vase arrangements are just as much a tiny work of art as elaborate centerpieces and can very much complement a whimsical flower-filled aesthetic by isolating and highlighting specific beautiful blooms.
The debate floor is open 🙂
Why is this bouquet so distinct from my usual creations? Unlike most of my designs where larger blooms serve as focal flowers, this bouquet showcases small blooms, with a focus color - pink in this case - to draw the eye in for a closer look. The delicate nature of the flowers creates a unique and earthy aesthetic that sets it apart from my other arrangements, giving off an organic, just-picked-from-the- garden mood that I love.

Let no good flower go to waist.
Crafted from a handful of well-aged leftover wedding blooms and a few seasonal picks from my garden.
Colorful summer wedding whimsy, wildflower-inspired; popped with the hottest of hot pink. 💕
That was the assignment.
I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to design for this wedding. When the couple reached out to me back in December, I was still in Colorado, before my move, wondering if I would even book a wedding in New England in my first year of 2024.
J & C are delightful, kind, all-around wonderful humans, and when they booked me in early January, it was a sign that everything would be okay. You know how valuable a 'sign' can be when you feel like you are free falling through the universe.
Congratulations to Jamie & Calvin!!!
Married on 7/20/24 ❤️
Your wedding day will always hold a special place in my heart. My first New England wedding.
Distant Drums
Perhaps the most aptly named garden rose because you feel it when you see it 🙌
You should definitely not show up looking like all the others. You should have something special, many special things. Because you are reason love songs are written. You are fine art, a summer breeze and magic, all wrapped into one. And it's your day to be queen.
Let me make your flowers for you. They will carry with them, the essence of you.
Friends for the summer 💕☀️
Your event florals are not just flowers; they will represent the core mood of your day.
Answering these two questions will help you immensely when planning and budgeting for your wedding florals.
What mood do you wish to portray? How much do you value it?

1- back side of bouquet & 2 front? Or is it the other way around?
Brides, it's your call! I'll make both beautiful. One of the best tips for stunning bouquet photos: spend 2 minutes in front of a mirror, play with your bouquet. Traditionally, pearl pins go at the back, but maybe you'll prefer the back. If unsure, follow J's lead: flip it for all angles! And to the bride in these photos - you absolutely nailed it & so did ! 💕

My angel was a centerfold 😀
This year, 2024, has brought incredible change and excitement to my life! One of the most unexpected and wonderful surprises was a cover and feature in Rocky Mountain Bride's national magazine V9, this past January!
I am heading back to beautiful Colorado on Monday for the first time since I left in December, to design for a wedding over a year in the making. Fact, I will cry when I first see the Rocky Mountains again. I'm tearing up now just writing this. Their awe and beauty is unmatched. If you have not seen them, I highly recommend you do.
Stay tuned for an exciting week next week!
They said, 'elope in a rose garden,' they said, 'it will be the essence of passion and romance" -
And they were right.
