Ran into living Golf Legend Jim Thorpe at the 2023 PGA Show Diversity Symposium. It was such a pleasure to meet him. The last time I saw him was at the Charles Schwab Championship Cup in Sonoma, CA back in 2007 when he won the trophy!

In honor of Black History Month The Pinkney Foundation is celebrating the late great Joe Morgan.
Born in Texas and raised in Oakland, California, Joe Morgan signed with the Houston C**t .45s in 1962. He emerged as one of the top players in baseball in the 1970s, winning consecutive NL MVP Awards and World Series championships as a member of the Cincinnati Reds. Morgan became a broadcaster after his playing career ended in 1984, and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990. He also played for the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants.

AATQ Athlete Adrian Davis received an amateur exemption to play the Advocates PGA Tour at Montebello G.C. Adrian was joined by The Pinkney Foundation Co-Founders Preston and JaVonnie Pinkney, Director of Player Development Jeff Callaway, and Board Member-At-Large, Anthony Keeton. Jeff Callaway was also Adrian's Caddie. We are proud of Andrian's dedication and discipline to improve his golf game. AATQ looks forward to supporting Adrian on his quest for the PGA Tour. In November 2019, the City of Oakland Ace Kids Golf Program received the Hi Impact Award for exceptional growth in SEL Capacities through an assessment tool provided by Algorhythm. Under the direction of Preston Pinkney, the Ace Kids Golf Program placed in the top 4% in the country which includes 459 programs and 27k program participants.
Preston will be hosting a webinar this thursday at 10am pacific time for those who are interested increasing their engagement with their program participants.
