Japeth is a young content creator in TikTok, a social media platform used in sharing short-form videos. Featured in his videos are local delicacies in Leyte that reach up to 10M views. Having more than 360k followers and 4.6M likes attributed to his account, Japeth (), a graduate of Animal Science from Visayas State University who finds pleasure in traditional way of cooking local delicacies, is now nominated for TikTok Awards Philippines 2021 - Rising Star Awards category.

A TikTok account is allowed to cast up to 5 votes per day. Top 3 with the most number of votes win the award. Voting starts from June 8 - June 19, 2021. Five-member Filipino boy band SB19 is also nominated and is currently leading for the Top Celebrity Awards Category.
