Dogs need to socialize.

Poorly socialized pups are more likely to be anxious in public settings and start fights with other dogs. On the contrary, dogs who often interact with others are friendlier, more affectionate and adapt better to new environments.

Besides the dog park, training group classes are also an excellent opportunity for your pup to make friends! ๐Ÿ•

Dogs need guidance, they need to know what is right behavior from us, so that they can do it for us and themselves. Letting dogs figure things out on their own doesnโ€™t mean your dog is going to turn out poorly, but the risks are great. When a dog has no leadership in his pack, no one to direct him to better choices and situations, the dog can either do two main things: take the leadership role upon themselves (becoming โ€œalphaโ€โ€ฆeven over you!), or remain leaderless and become severely anxious due to the dogโ€™s lack of control and guidance.

Giving a dog structure is doing the dog a great favor. The dog knows what he needs to do in order to thrive in the household with you. The dog knows what he needs to do in stressful situations, or in environments that are teeming with distractions. By showing your dog your expectations of his behavior, the dog knows what he needs to do, and wonโ€™t be worrying whether or not he is doing something wrong to upset you. Yes, dogs want to please themselves, and we as owners can SHOW them how to please themselves through good, structured behavior!

Meal times can be tricky with pets ๐Ÿฝ๏ธyou may find that when you sit down to eat, a pair of eyes look at you, secretly hoping you'll drop something they'll quickly eat before you can pick it up.

The solution is easier than it looks: feed your pups just before you sit down to eat. They'll be busy eating, and you can have a stare-free meal time! Bone appรฉtit ๐Ÿถ

We can help!

We believe that aggression issues cannot and should not simply be โ€œmanaged.โ€ While many trainers limit their work to addressing the symptoms of aggression, such as biting or growling, we strive to address the underlying cause of the problem. This is where our trainers really excel and what helps our dog training produce lifelong results.

The majority of aggressive behaviors are the result of outside influences and triggers, such as trauma or fear. We carefully observe your dog in its home environment and work with you to understand its past experiences and relationships.

Following the consultation, weโ€™ll explain what we think is causing your dogโ€™s aggression and provide a detailed training plan to resolve the behavior. Because we address your dogโ€™s behavior as a whole, the training plan will include non-aggression related training issues as well.

Dogs need to move, exercise ๐Ÿ• when that need isn't met, some behavioral issues can arise. A 30-minute walk or playing at the park is enough. They just need some time to woof around!

We are confident in handling aggressive dogs, including dogs who are human aggressive or have a bite history. We work with dogs that suffer from:

Dog aggression
Human aggression
Child aggression
Territory aggression and barrier frustration
Maternal aggression
Sibling aggression
Food aggression or resource guarding

Yes, potty training a dog is possible! Dogs sometimes p*e inside the house for a few reasons: they could be anxious or distressed, maybe they were left home alone for longer than they could hold it in, or maybe they're just not fully house-trained yet.

Whatever the reason might be, potty training could be the answer! Try walking your pup at or around the same time every day and getting into a routine you both can get used to ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿถ

At some point, all dogs chew whatever they can find. It's normal!

They don't do it purposely to rip your belongings, but while they get the proper training to stop doing this, consider setting up a chewing corner. An area of the house where they can play with toys they can chew while they learn what they can and can't bite ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿถ

We know many families welcome four-legged pals over the holidays ๐Ÿถ and a new dog sometimes calls for training lessons.

Whether it be puppy training, learning how to help your new pal get along with the pets you already had or basic training, we can help!

When training a puppy, try to keep in mind that they're an infant dog. You can't ask them to be able to do things a grown dog could do and learn.

Patience is key ๐Ÿ”‘ and remember: they are not a mini adult. They're a baby.

When training your dog, it is important to remember that teaching many things at once can be frustrating and confusing for them. Instead, breaking it into smaller lessons ensures success and is better for you and your pup! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Under stimulation, overstimulation, anxiety, and boredom.

These are just four issues you might face this holiday season when taking your pup to dinner parties and celebrations.

Here are 3 tips that could help you and your dog have a stress-free time:
๐Ÿถ Avoid overstimulation by keeping your pets indoors and distracted with their own toys.
๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™‚๏ธ If possible, prepare a safe place for them. Whether a crate, kennel, their bed or just somewhere in a room, they can relax and escape the buzz of the holidays.
โŒ Ask visitors not to fuss over your pet or constantly pet them. This could factor in overstimulation and be counterproductive.

Dogs rock! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Did you know indoor dogs can benefit from regular exercise like outdoor dogs? We want every dog to be healthy and happy so they can be the best they can be. Keeping them active and stimulated is essential, and training can help!
