Start times on the Coastal Queen hasn’t changed but the sunrise time certainly has.
Next project. A 65 foot Hinckley Ketch. This is a total restoration project just starting. We are giving it a complete interior deep cleaning. Mold remediation and anything else it needs . Then it will get its refit over the winter. Then in the spring we will give it a full interior and exterior detailing to get it ready for delivery to the owner. This is another one that is built by craftsman who take pride in their work. One project person described it as a 100 footer packed into a 70 footer. It truly is. This one will be a challenge, but that’s what we like.
In between boats we managed to wash and wax the entire fleet of garbage truck for Island Rubbish in Jamestown. Brought back color on a few of the older ones too. Fun side project for sure.
This is a 51 foot Shannon Ketch. A complete restoration job in need of a deep clean on the interior and exterior wash down. True craftsmanship on this one. They know how to build boats with these. No comparison to the new boats. This quality is top notch and solid.
This is a real nice Southport 30 FE we had the pleasure of detailing a couple of times over the summer so the owner could entertain friends on fishing excursions.
This is a true live aboard. A Farr 72 built by Southern Wind Shipyard. Beautiful craftsmanship throughout. Second year of taking care of her. She is for sale now so we have been preparing it for brokerage showings.
Cleaned and detailed the interior of a Sea Wind 11.60 Lite. Got it prepped for brokerage showings. A smaller catamaran , but it packs a lot of features into its size.
Did some isinglass cleaning with a protectant to get the Conanicut Ferry Katharine ready for the fall seal tours.
Always seems to be something
Yesterdays boat. 42’ Azimut. Just splash for spring commission. Exterior cleaning in preparation for polishing from the toe rail up through the bridge.
Today’s project. Sabre 48 Salon Express. Owner bought in New Jersey and brought it home yesterday. Today we cleaned it, removed old name and put on a new name for the owner. It’s a surprise for his wife to present to her tomorrow. Amazing boat. A work of art.
A little clean up on this Sea Ray Laguna so the boat shows nice for any potential buyers. We have had quite a few boats to prep for sales and or deliveries after the sale this spring season.
Project from Monday. Beautiful new Beneteau 51.1 . Customer just took delivery. A nice interior cleaning to freshen things up after delivery from dealer. Beautiful boat inside and out.
This was yesterday’s project. Different than the usual but a great opportunity to learn something new. Pretty impressive boat by design and features. All aluminum was new to us.
Today’s project. Prep the Jamestown Fire and Rescue Protector before they splash it for the season.
Very happy with results considering the starting look. Head came out like new.
Took quite a bit of work, but it turned out real nice.
Got a pretty moldy interior to do. Boat wasn’t used for a bit and had some moisture caused mold.
Had the pleasure of cleaning up and detailing ACE for the Newport to Bermuda race this past week. Beautiful race boat.
Nice classic today. Full interior cleaning in preparation of launching.
Waterlines today. Prepping boats for delivery to the BVI’s.
We got to do some diving over the weekend to check out underside of 42’ catamaran.
The day begins here
