GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE TRANSPORT.
Before you board a bus ask how much the fare is to your destination otherwise your pride will finish when the Conductor faces with embarrassments whilst on his bus.
It does not hurt to negotiate one on one with the bus conductor because that bus doesn't belong to Ratsa neither the government It is owned by someone who wants to make a profit to lead his life.
Over the years Government orders buses private bus owner on bus fairs, while the same government or Ratsa don't own any bus for public transport.
This prevailing situation has triggered my mind on how Governance care for people's lives on transport.
How come government under MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT has no puplic transport to carry people in different destinations.
If the government has facility for transport we can't be having all repeatedly conflicts with private bus owners and their drivers who also have conductors.
Private bus owners have the right to agree or reject the imforcement pounced on them.
Ministry of transport should venture into public transport Activities to even employ bus drivers and conductors.
This ministry deals with many citizens who use transport every day hence a needs to provide transport for people of Zambia like other Ministries that owns Government facilities such are:
=Ministry of health.
=Ministry of education.
=Ministry of commication
Etc.
Health ministry has Government and private hospitals! The ministry has hence forth recently employed 11,000 plus workers who would be working in hospitals and clinics built up by the government.
Education ministry too has Government and private schools, the ministry has equally massively recruited over 30,000 teachers. The Government has built and still building schools for more employment.
Communication ministry has zamtel and other Private entities.
In these facilities, general citizens benefits and make choices on which service to go for.
Zambian citizens need to make choices even in bus stations whether to go for government or private transport.
In an event where all private bus operators boycotts. It would difficulty for us.
Transport Minister please hear our cry.
