The Meat is Probably Frozen
Recipes, tips and tricks for using your Instant Pot or multi-cooker
Chili Mac!
Two pounds of (frozen) ground beef
1 cup (or so) tomato sauce
2 (ish) cups chicken broth
1 can chili beans
1 can corn
1/2 box noodles of choice (these are pipette)
Chili powder
Garlic
Onion
Salt
Pepper
Put meat in the pot… add broth and seasonings. Pour tomato sauce on top of the meat (or the sauce will burn)
Set to meat/stew for 10 min
Once it’s done, let the pressure natural release
Add beans and corn and pasta
Adjust seasonings as required
Set time for half the time on the pasta (in this case 4 mins) on meat/stew
When time is up, quick release
ENJOY!

Sorry it’s been a while! The Instant Pot didn’t get action this summer! But in true fashion, here is some frozen chicken I meal prepped!

Steel cut oats anyone?
Had some leftover rotisserie chicken and chicken broth and some dumplings... wasn’t sure of the timing on the dumplings, Did 4 mins and they are super soft, but didn’t puff up the way they should have. Next time I’ll just do it on the stove. The flavor is ok and the kid is eating it... of note... make sure to wait to pressure release on brothy things... unless you like scrubbing everything in a 6 foot radius...
