Dietetics: The Why As I start the dietetics program in August, I thought it would be appropriate to write about the “why” behind my choice to go into this field! Oftentimes when I tell people I am a dietetics...

Miss Missouri Recap Hello everyone! I hope you have all been enjoying your summer and spending time doing the things you love. This blog post will be slightly unconventional as I will be focusing less on the topic of...
What a week!!!
I finished Miss Missouri week proudly with a spot in the top 10, along with a $1500 scholarship! I will remember this experience forever and the wonderful friends I made as well.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported me by coming to watch, donating money, and just sending me good luck wishes during the week. A few others I want to thank are my dorm mom Elecia for helping me with the craziness of backstage and getting dressed when I was called for top 10, my sister queens Amanda and Shae (along with the teens on the Spirit board as well), and my directors Tammy and Stephanie who pushed me to be better every time we did mock interviews and prep.
And a huge congratulations to our new Miss Missouri 2019-2020 Callie Cox! I loved spending time with you this week and know you are going to serve the Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization well this next year 💛
Popping on here to say hello and celebrate completing my Miss Missouri interview 🎉
I loved talking to the judges about Healthy Nutrition for a Stronger Generation and sharing with them how I would continue to promote the Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization as Miss Missouri.
You can hear me this Friday on the Eagle 93.9 Wake Up Columbia doing a follow-up interview with Branden at 7:15 am, and of course see me on-stage beginning at 7:30 tonight at the Missouri Military Academy!!!
I arrived at the Missouri Military Academy campus today for Miss Missouri week! They are gracious enough to host the Miss Missouri candidates every year (for over 50 years now!) and allow us to stay in the dorms so we have easy access to the venue to rehearse.
With that said, I will be signing off social media for the week to focus on enjoying my experience and preparing for each night of competition. Can’t wait to see everyone from the stage soon!
Livestream information for the Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization week is now available! If you can’t make it in person, this is a great option and I would love to have your support from wherever you are watching 👑❤️
Missouri MAO Miss Missouri

I want to give Branden at the Eagle 93.9 Wake Up Columbia show a special thank you for having me on to interview, I had a lot of fun and enjoyed getting to see the studio and be on air! 🎙

Today I had my last fundraiser before heading to Miss Missouri in one short week!
We had baby goats to pet and feed, horses to ride, all the farm dogs, and flowers we planted in little pots. Thank you to everyone who came out today to help support me and the Miss America Foundation as well as my family who made it all happen! 🐐🐴🐕🌸☀️
Today I want to introduce my Show-Me Little Sister, Mary Margaret!
Mary Margaret is 7 (almost 8!) and loves to Irish dance like me. We attend the same dance studio, this video is of me helping her practice one of her dances the night before a competition. I can’t wait to have her onstage with me during Miss Missouri week and I know she is going to shine!
Some fun facts are that she is super smart, super sweet, and is an amazing artist in addition to being a great dancer 💚🍀 she also has lots of energy like me so I know we will work well together during some of the long rehearsals that week!
THIS Saturday, June 5th from 9am-12pm I will be running a petting zoo at my family farm as a final fundraiser for my journey to Miss Missouri!
It will be $10 per child, and all proceeds go to the Miss Missouri/Miss America Organization to help fund student scholarships for women competing like me!
Please message me if you are interested and want more information, and share this with anyone who has kids that would love to pet a baby goat (adults are allowed too!) Cash, check, or Venmo will be accepted and this is a fun opportunity to support me one last time before I head off for the state competition 💛 🐓🐐🦮🐎💛
VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!
PEOPLE’S CHOICE voting is now LIVE! 🎉
What does this mean?
The People’s Choice winner is guaranteed a spot in the Top 11 for Miss Missouri finals night!!!
$1 = 1 vote
All proceeds go to the Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization to help fund scholarships for candidates like me. Voting ends June 16th!!!
Follow the link below to find the website to vote, then scroll down until you find my name and vote as many times as you wish! EVERY ONE COUNTS!
I am getting SO excited for Miss Missouri week and can’t thank everyone enough for their continued support of me on this journey 💛

My latest blog post is up! Since Miss Missouri is one month away (I'm only freaking out a little...okay a LOT!!!) I thought I would make this one a general overview of my social impact initiative, Healthy Nutrition for a Stronger Generation. Check it out and let me know what you think!
http://www.astrongergeneration.com/blog/what-is-healthy-nutrition-for-a-stronger-generation
What is "Healthy Nutrition for a Stronger Generation"? I’m sure you have all heard of my social impact initiative, “Healthy Nutrition for a Stronger Generation”, which I created originally for my involvement with the Miss Missouri and Miss...
What I love about having a social impact initiative that ties into my everyday life is getting fun opportunities to talk to others about nutrition!
As an employee at MU Health Care and a dietetics student, I was asked to run a nutrition table during hospital week, and of course I said yes!
I printed out some of my favorite handouts from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics website and talked to many employees about nutrition and why they could benefit from seeing a registered dietitian 🍉🥑
It’s getting me even more excited to step into my Miss Missouri interview in one month and talk about why “Healthy Nutrition for a Stronger Generation” needs to be a reality on an even wider scale.
Miss MO, I’m coming for you!!!
‼️EARLY BIRD SIGNUPS HAPPENING NOW‼️
☀️🍦I am so excited to post about something special I will be doing this summer!!! ☀️🍦
•With the help of Bamboo Nutrition, I will be leading a 6-week small group on intuitive eating from June 24th-July 29th. It will be Thursdays from 11-12pm via Zoom!
•This is something I am extremely passionate about and believe can benefit young teenagers tremendously. As someone who has been on the journey of learning how to know what my body needs and when it needs it, I know firsthand how difficult it is to be a teenager in our current society of diet culture and food rules.
•If you have a teenage daughter between the ages of 13-15, please consider signing them up for this group as it will teach them the benefits and importance of trusting their bodies to know what they need while also learning how to fuel them properly!
❤️Please message me if you would like more information or are interested in signing up!❤️
‼️IT’S TICKET TIME ‼️
•Now that I am done with my takeover of the .mo social media pages, I wanted to post about ticket ordering for the week of Miss Missouri!
•They do not do online ticket sales, so you must mail in a form stating how many tickets/what kind of seating you would like.
To make things easier, I have decided to do a mass ticket order for anyone I know that wants them!
•Please personal message me (on Instagram, Facebook, or if you have my email or phone number) BY MAY 1ST telling me how many tickets you want for which night and what seating area you would like, payment (check or Venmo is fine!) will be due at the same time.
I can’t wait to see some familiar faces cheering me on in June! 😄🎀💐
Halfway through the week! It’s going by so fast!
I am taking over the Miss Missouri 2019-2020 social media pages for the week! Make sure to follow along with her Facebook and Instagram (.mo) to see what I’m up to 💖☺️
Local Titleholder Social Media Takeover: Ashley Voeller, Miss St. Charles County
Happy Monday everyone! I am Ashley Voeller, your Miss St. Charles County 💖
I am a sophomore at the University of Missouri-Columbia studying to earn my Master’s degree in dietetics 📖🍎 I was recently accepted into Mizzou’s coordinated program and am excited to share how that ties into my social impact initiative “Healthy Nutrition for a Stronger Generation”.
When I am not studying I enjoy dancing, baking, and spending time with my family and friends outdoors! I also run a nutrition-related blog that can be found at www.astrongergeneration.com
I can’t wait to tell you more about myself this week, and make sure to give a follow to keep up with me after the week is finished!
A huge thank you to Holly Enowski for making these cute collages of the Miss Missouri Class of 2021! I feel very blessed to have gained so many wonderful friends through competing for the title of Miss MO!
Look for me in the Alpha Group collage 😉👑
Orientation yesterday was incredible and has me so excited for Miss MO in June! We went over everything from production numbers all the way to what to pack for our dorm move-in.
I will be candidate number 7 in the alpha group, meaning I will do a morning interview and evening gown on Wednesday night, talent Thursday night, and my on-stage interview and social impact pitch Friday night.
I will post more information about purchasing tickets later this month and am so excited to spend a whole week with my sister queens in June! 👑💕
My social impact initiative, Healthy Nutrition for a Stronger Generation, focuses on nutrition education. This is why I absolutely love writing blogs that are simple and easy to follow while also teaching important things about building a healthy plate!
*This post is about family meals and how they can benefit us overall. I believe prioritizing family/shared meals is a great step in taking control of our food choices and having a support system that can help along the way!

When in Nashville...we must Jazzercise! My mom and I took a little spring break trip this weekend and were able to take a Jazzercise class at a local center there 👯♀️💛💙🤍
Jazzercise is my go-to workout for stress relief and healthy movement! I believe fitness can be fun and doesn’t have to feel like an obligation, just find something you love and can stick with!
Happy Monday everyone! This blog post is about one of my favorite stress relievers-movement! What are some of your favorite ways to ? Comment below!

Here is a short video of some footwork I made up in class today, foreshadowing to my talent this June...?
Yesterday was Miss Missouri winter workshop! I had an amazing time learning more about what this summer will look like and how we can be prepped for Miss Missouri week with our paperwork, social media, and various phases of competition. An added bonus was that I got to see my whole board of sister queens for the first time in nearly a year! I love these girls and the friendships I have gained through this organization thus far 💕
This morning I was able to give a virtual presentation to the Certified Nursing Assistant class at St. Charles Community College on the USDA’s MyPlate. I enjoyed talking about the components and goals of the MyPlate symbol and how it can help create a simple way of approaching nutrition that aids in creating a stronger generation!
A huge thank you to Scott for doing my new official headshot for Miss Missouri! With a recent haircut and an extra year holding the wonderful title of Miss St. Charles County, I wanted something fresh and he did an amazing job. I highly recommend his work for headshots, family shoots, and everything in between!

I am so excited to announce that I was accepted to the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at Mizzou! It is a three year program that I will begin in the fall, which will earn me a master’s degree along with my bachelor’s and prepare me to take the national exam to become a registered dietitian!
I am so thankful for those that have helped me get here and am one step closer to having a career studying the science of nutrition! 🍎🍞🥦
As promised, here is the follow-up blog on intuitive eating! I had so much fun writing this one and it is on a topic that I implement into my lifestyle on a daily basis, so please give it a read and let me know what you think!

Happy Saturday everyone! This is the Miss America Organization's 100th year, and recently they have chosen to shift their fundraising efforts to a brand-new website called spotfund! This allows people to donate directly to a candidate's page and help build scholarships for young women like me to pay for their education. For a little background into how donations are handled, the Miss America Foundation is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit that allows scholarships to be processed for young women competing. All donations are tax deductible and go directly into scholarship funds, which goes straight to the college or university the recipient attends. I am so excited to have the opportunity to fundraise for the Miss America Foundation and compete for some of these wonderful scholarships in June!
Please follow the link below to my personal fundraising page to learn about my involvement with the Miss America Organization!

With lots of hard work and a few late nights (and maybe some tears), I made the Fall 2020 Dean's List at Mizzou!
The Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization strives to provide young women like me with scholarships to pay for their college education. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss Missouri and can't wait to see what opportunities stem from such an amazing experience! Here's to spring semester!
I’m back!!! Long time no see. A lot has happened since I took a social media hiatus last summer!
I made it through fall semester of my sophomore year and have applied for the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at the University of Missouri. I will find out later this semester if I made it in! Along with school has been work, dancing, and the general business of life as a college student.
I have started blogging once again and linked my latest one down below, feel free to give it a read!
I am continuing to prepare for Miss Missouri which is scheduled to take place in June. Although I am as committed as ever, my social media will be less active this semester as I take time to work hard in my classes and truly focus on each area of the competition to ensure I am as prepared as possible come June.
I am continually grateful for everyone’s support and hope to see you rooting for me on the Miss Missouri stage this summer!

Thank you to everyone for your continued support of me during this journey, and I will keep you all updated on my plans going forward.
