Our bodies are a work of art, and until we start to have problems with it, we haven't given it a second thought.

We are made of the physical body, the emotional body, the mental body and the soul body. All works in harmony when in alignment.

Our body will give us subtle messages at first to warn us something is off balance.

Irregular periods, painful periods, poor sleep, anxious thoughts, depressive thoughts, feeling overwhelmed, feeling stressed, feeling that you should be doing something different.

Start listening to your body.

Oestrogen dominance is very serious, and can have all the same signs and symptoms as the transition to menopause.

Fatigue, irritability, low mood,anxiety, poor sleep, irregular painful periods, infertility, the list can go on and on..

We need to start reading all the labels we are using, putting on and on our bodies..we can do so much to heal ourselves..

Following our Circadian rhythm is vital for balancing our hormones, getting sufficient sleep, reducing our stress levels.

Try it for one month.

Getting up at sunrise 🌄 getting outside between 9.30 to 11.30.

Getting solar light at 1.30.

Not looking at your phone in the morning, instead open your curtains and see the light.

Not looking at phones at night time

You are sending messages to your brain that it's the middle of the day.

Getting good sleep is so important for our bodies to reset and regulate.

I felt a little tired this morning, contemplated not doing my morning routine.

I had to have a little chat with myself

And

made myself get out and connect with nature and get as much uva light from the sun as I can.

I made myself do it, because I know I feel better in my body and my mind after.

I know from my adrenal protocol, that getting sun/light at sunrise 🌄, getting uva light between 9-11ish, getting solar light at 1.30 and out in the evening light can reduce melatonin naturally, can increase my cortisol levels naturally, it can balance my hormones naturally.

Staying off my 🤳 ( which I find sooooo difficult first thing in the morning and hours before bed) helps my brain to balance which naturally balances my hormones.

Doing my Pranayama breathing helps reduce cortisol levels.

It's been consistent with the little things , that really helps for whatever the day brings.

The facts are that reducing stress levels can be the most beneficial in reducing symptoms.

My 20's revolved around working as a nurse in stressful units, drinking and socialising on my time off, and eating crap food. Putting fake tan on, makeup, all the cosmetic products, on skin and on hair.

My 30's , I was depleted after having babies, surgery, postpartum anxiety, sleep deprivation, trying to balance full time work, full time house parent, full time everything 🙈

This story is not just mine, it belongs to so many women out there trying to do it all.

My message today is, it's never too late to tend to yourself. To start observing what chemicals we are putting on our bodies and in our bodies.

The average woman puts over 200 chemicals on her before leaving the door for work alone.

Shampoo, conditioner, hair products, skin care regime products, make up, deodorants. Start looking at the ingredients you are putting on your body or in your body.

Your body is so amazing at doing its job, at balancing our whole entire systems. It's a miracle in itself.

But when we disrupt the harmony within our bodies, the body sends us messages. Fatigue, low energy, dry skin, paper thin skin, mood swings, constipation, irregular periods, the list goes on and on..

When I had my girls I realised that this is not what I wanted for them. I began a journey of learning, and it's been amazing..

Balancing our hormones in today's society is a difficult task.

Being mindful of what we put on our bodies, in our bodies and what we think of can bring our bodies into either peace or stress.

I am choosing peace.

I start my day following my adrenal protocol.

Up at sunrise 🌄

Drinking water and lemon or Himalayan salt.

Grounding.

Pranayama breathing.

Meditation.

Movement.

Sounds simple 😃 but consistency is the key.

If you miss a day that can happen, life happens, if you miss two days that's a choice.

I have my monthly massage or an alternative treatment also, because I am worth the investment.

STRESS is literally killing us.

We are living in a time where our bodies, mind and soul are in constant fight or flight.

Your adrenal glands are beginning to show you that you cannot continue,

if you have anxious symptoms,poor sleep, depressive symptoms, poor gut health, moderate or severe pms, mood swings, cravings for sugar, alcohol, processed carbs, the list goes on .

The most simplest and easy way to start taking back control is through breathing.

You can look up so many techniques on the net, Instagram, tik tok, FB..Just Start. The time is now.

There are so many things you can do to help yourself. Start learning about you.
Start finding out what works for you.

An opportunity to consciously breath for the weekend.

Maybe put a red pen mark of an x on your wrist, or a red dot on your watch. Each time you see this you take a slow deep breath.

Each time you see a sign post whilst driving, take a deep breath. Rewire your brain.

In for 4, hold for 4, release for 4, hold for 4. The box breath.

Or practice belly breathing, taking a deep breath in through the nose, feel your belly rise, hold, release through your nose and let your belly deflate.

Pranayama breathing, alternative nostril breathing. Thumb and ring finger, place thumb on one nostril, breath in, then put ring finger on other nostril, release thumb and exhale, then inhale on this side, put thumb over, release ring finger. Continue.

Slowing your breathing, sends a signal to your brain that you are not in danger. It helps your cells relax. It gets oxygen back around your body. It helps to restore your adrenal glands.

This is one of the first steps in the adrenal protocol I offer for hormone balance program.

Our bodies are amazing.

The messages that are our brain send to govern hormone release is fascinating.

Every aspect is interconnected.

When we put processed foods, toxins, chemicals,not getting adequate amts of sunlight, on our phones too much and stress in our bodies we create blocks.

Our brain gets confused and has to work really hard to release all these toxins out of our body.

Messages are not received as they should.

Period cramps, mood swings, food cravings, tension headaches, our nervous system is in constant fight or flight mode.

Take control back.

Listen to your amazing body.

Nourish, exercise and rest in balance and connect back into the way you are meant to be.

I have met so many women lately telling me about their young daughters painful periods or their own painful periods.

Just because painful periods are common does not make it normal.

I suffered with painful periods from my early teens all through adulthood.

My symptoms were like early labour pains, heavy bleed with lots of clots,vomiting , diarrhoea, cold sweats, severe pain that only putting my legs up on a wall or weird positions might have helped.

My mother told me that when I had my first baby then my period pain would ease🙈🙈🙈🙈 ahhh, I was 16, I didn't really want to have a baby to help have less painful periods.

The GP prescribed the pill.

I felt even worse on this, my PMS was heightened. Acne, and had severe mood swings .

The pill stops you ovulating. It gives you a false bleed. It disrupts your natural amazing hormone balancing system within your body.

Honestly I feel strongly about women learning how to take control back and learn amazing self care techniques to help reduce painful periods.

Painful periods have been normalised within our medical model.

Periods are not meant to painful.

When periods are painful it is your body telling you that your uterus may be tilted.

Reflect on if you had a fall as a child, an injury, a trauma, been abused.

Does your lifestyle and diet play a factor.

Highly processed foods, sugar, alcohol affect womb health.

Stored emotions can effect everything in our bodies.

Do you ever notice if you are under stress your period can come early or be very late.

The standard treatment is to go on the pill. The pill does not always solve your period issues.

It only alter your bodies natural cycles. Gives you a false bleed. Causes alot more side effects.

We are all so busy, that we have lost our connection to our bodies, we have not listened, all those little signs and warnings that have been given, are too late, when you are heading to doctors, specialist and so on.

Take time to sit with yourself, where can you feel aches, pains, tensions, emotions, thoughts.

Sit and breathe.

Start taking care of you.

Walk in nature

Take a swim in the sea or a lake .

Connect with your body and mother earth.

We are all connected.

Connect back into you.

Connect to your body with a massage, a reiki session, a coaching session, a reflexology session, a bio energy session, a breathwork session, a mindfulness session, journalling.

Let's talk about Circadian Rhythm, this is an aspect in my current studies in Hormone Health and Hypnosis Practitioner with

Getting sunrise light is so important for balancing our hormones, reducing melatonin, increasing cortisol naturally in our amazing body machines.

Getting sunlight at noon , again balancing our chemicals in our body and getting out before sunset light, sends a signal to our brain to start getting ready for restorative sleep.

Even if you can't see the sun, it's still there, looking eastwards in the early morning and again at noon and sunset.

Switch off devices a few hours before bed.

Getting to bed at or before 10pm.

I am noticing changes already.

My quiteness and silence have been irritating me over the past week,and I didn't really know WHY I was feeling this way.

I had been busy trying not to remember my beautiful friend transitioning nearly 2 years ago.

Trying not to think of her, trying to pretend that life just goes on, and it does, but life goes on differently.

These words resonated with me and my soul today.

So to all those who are feeling loss, feeling grief, feeling empty, feeling sadness, feeling alone, IT's Going to be OK.

Sometimes we have to be the observer in our life, and let the feelings through.

We are all here on our earthly pilgrimage, and we are all just walking each other home.

I remember hearing those 50,000 thoughts 🙈

I remember the constant chatter

The constant to do lists

The constant conversations, the good and the bad, and mostly the bad

I remember not remembering how I got to work

Or how I couldn't remember the shower I had taken that morning

Or did I have that coffee in the morning

The simple practice of breathwork and some simple meditation along with mindfulness techniques changed my world and all in it

You can do it too

5 minutes a day, just see where it takes you
