I'd say winter sowing in milk jugs was a success!
These should have been opened a month ago, but thankfully the weeds surrounding the milk jugs have provided them shade and they look wonderful! I'll be dividing and pitting these up later this week.

Happy Friday, flower friends! I've had a busy morning preparing for the Thanksgiving market tomorrow! Come out to see us and grab flowers for your thanksgiving table or festive evergreen wreaths!
Finally able to get all the dahlias out of the ground although it's a little later than I planned I am so happy this chore is done! Now they cure while I do some googling on the best way to store them. We heat with a wood stove which keeps things extra dry, so unfortunately I did lose half of my dahlia tubers last winter. Leave any tips in the comments!

With some pre-planning and good use of our hoop house, I was still able to get flowers together for a special order today! I love how they came together!
The 2023 flower season is quickly coming to an end. We've enjoyed *most every part of the growing process and already have flowers planted for 2024! We are so thankful for generous and faithful customers who have supported us over our first year growing cut flowers. Keep following for our plans for next year!
