Before to the after… ‘After Midnight’ front door transformation 💙
Meet Gabrielle 🥰 completed for and for their beautiful home. The aim was to match there existing ikea grey unit. This involved mixing a multitude of colours from to get the perfect grey. To a achieve this look she took a large amount of sanding (building the grit gradually),cleaning, painting (3 times) various top coats including defining wax, new handles and Viola she’s complete! As always the after to the before. Many thanks to you both and for the recommendation!
Well aren’t these the cutest? A set of three nest of tables. A lovely commission piece for .zen.space ready for her beautiful airbnb cottage in Lincolnshire ❤️ I achieved this look, by sanding and cleaning down to create the lovely wooden tops I added browning wax from Frenchic. I then painted the remainder in a beautifully neutral grey called City Slicker. As always the after to the before.
Meet Evelyn and Eleanor 💕 a wonderful commission project - the after to the before as always. Painted in Frenchic (Wise old sage) paired with a natural top with a smidge of clear wax. Change in handles and drawers lined and VIOLA!
Hey there Delilah 💕 painted in Cool Beans from Frenchic paired with a newly upholstered stool in fabric. All drawers are lined with a beautifully floral green to complement the neutral pallet of the dressing table. If you would like any more information on Delilah, please feel free to contact me directly 💕
Meet Sparkie the shoe rack (don’t ask about the name) commission piece for my dear friend, Rosie. Developed using scaffold boards, a lot of sandpaper, city slicker paint and wax! Even Ned and Bruce approve… 🐾
Well it’s been a minute… A big Happy New Year to you all, 2022 was a relatively quiet year for as we had a huge amount of house renovations (see if you fancy a look) alongside full time jobs, and lots of lovely social events to make up for (after the dreaded c word!). So this year we are starting with a BANG!!! 💥Meet Florence👋 the console table come desk. Isn’t she a beauty? Painted in Frenchic Cool Beams with a white wash accent in the drawers and top. Her neutral beauty would suit nearly any home. As always the after to the before. Please contact me directly for any further information. Also keep your eyes peeled for another reveal before the weeks out! As I said, back with a bang! 💥
Say Hi to Dawn 👋 a customised piece for a friend and client. I’ve loved every minute of transforming her. That being said, never before have I used so much sandpaper on a pieces top! I knew that lovely wood was waiting to pop out! Dawn is painted in one of my all time favourites ‘Smudge’ paired with browning wax for the top and drawer sides, she’s been turned into a classic beauty.
As always the after to the before ❤️
Say hello to Bosley the Bureau ❤️ He is ⭐️⭐️FOR SALE⭐️⭐️ as always the after to the before. Please get in touch if interested.
Oh my little ‘Amelia’… Never has such a small piece of furniture taken so many hours 😂 Enjoyable ones I may add, but still.. I think I will be painting spheres of colour for the next few weeks 😂. All joking aside, I utterly loved upcycling this 40 year old chair for my incredibly special friends little girl ‘Amelia’. I wanted to do something special and personal to give as a Christening gift. Thankfully they loved it, she has some growing to do first mind you.
Meet Bernard the Bureau/ Drinks cabinet 💙 He is….⭐️⭐️⭐️For Sale⭐️⭐️⭐️ as always the after to the before. If you are interested, please get in touch. Happy saturday night all!
Meet ‘Jennifer’ a special customisation for ❤️ this little beauty has been transformed by city slicker (from ) the brief was to maintain the character of the piece, whilst adding a pinch of loveliness 🥰
So the process… I sanded the inside and out, cleaned it thoroughly, then set to white washing the sides of the drawers and lining them with some floral ring paper from i then painted the entirety of the dressing table and shelves. Picked out the detail with silver and then waxed with box clear and white wax. Typing that, made it sound very easy and quick 😂
A true pleasure to complete - thank you so much for entrusting me with this beauty ❤️ as always the after to the before
Meet ‘Mave’ 👋 this little stunner is…. FOR SALE!!!
Measuring 150cm wide by 50cm deep. She truly is a unique piece. Painted in Cool Beans from the Frenchic range of paint, coupled with a white wash finish on the top and feet. As always the after to the before. If you would like any information please message me for more details. Happy Saturday all 🥰
Say hello to Cecil the sideboard 💝 This little stunner went from drab to rather fab (if I do say so myself). Upcycled for my incredibly dear friend - using a mixture of wise old sage and greyhound, to produce a unique green that we will now be fondly referred to as ‘The Burman’ ❤️ I swapped out the feet and handles, highlighted with white wax whilst giving the top and feet a white wash effect. I lined the drawers and inside with the cutest safari paper from and VIOLA she is complete. As always the after to the before💕
Meet Elizabeth ❤️ a project especially close to my heart, as this was a customised piece for a client(and now friend) that purchased my first ever piece! Do you remember the beauty and the beast inspired dressing table set? Giving her the choice she called this beautiful unit Elizabeth after her grandma. The brief was to update and modernise the unit her in such a way that would suit her home. So using from as the main colour, painting all the handles and brackets to silver and wallpapering the back with this print did just that! She looks truly wonderful situated back at home 🥰
Here’s another one… my client was kind enough to allow me to stage this little beauty 😍 we have both agreed it is a ‘show chair’ but isn’t it cute?? Cushions also made to be reversible 😍
Seeing upcycled projects nicely situated in their new homes makes me so happy ❤️
Custom made cushions complete ☑️ this window-seat was so large, two cushions had to be made as the material wasn’t wide enough. Thankfully the pheasants joined in the middle 👍😂 who doesn’t love an extra bit of searing?? Fitted with zips, to put in the wash if any paws leave a mark too 🐾❤️
Meet Amelia 🤗 two of my most favourite people share this name! However this beauty is named after my wonderful pals newly born little girl. Grandma Sue, asked if I could upcycle this beauty, she had saved it from the skip! She picked her handles she liked and I created a colour scheme to match. This is brother to ‘Archie’ that I completed a number of months ago now. Navy is such a gorgeous colour when paired with browning wax 😍
Meet Teddy 👋 as it’s a B/H I thought I’d upload another little transformation. Looking through my profile I think it’s pretty safe to say I love this colour 😍 Smudge ❤️ this tallboy was a pleasure to complete. Pine is so satisfying to paint!
The finished article 🤗 Meet Geoffrey 👋Previously painted white… which meant probably the longest time I’ve ever spent on any project sanding every bit off. However I think it was worth it ❤️ painted in City Slicker from Frenchic. On the top I used browning wax to finish off the country cute transformation 🥰
Happy Friday all! Who’s ready for the B/H I most certainly am. Here’s a little project I completed a few weeks ago now (where does the time go?) some pieces just need slightly tweaking… so Meet Ernie the chest 👋 In order to create this look I sanded, cleaned and waxed inside and out and VOILA❤️
Afternoon all 👋 Real life has taken back over so I have been pants at posting!! I have however been very busy behind the scenes, but just rubbish at uploading!! So…Meet Boris… He was a true pleasure to restore ❤️ Ned loved him so much, he hopped in him!! As always the after to the before.
Meet Harry.... 👋 Custom piece created using one of my favourite colours from . Couldn’t be happier with this transformation. He is now nicely situated in his beautiful country home. As always the after to the before.
Meet Isla and Laura 🌸 💖 These pieces were customised for a friends little girl. I cannot wait to see them situated in her newly decorated princess room. I’m hoping she loves them as much as I do! I used dazzle me and Marrakesh to create this look 💖 as always my lovelies the after to the before 🥰
Meet Bertie - version 2! I think we’ll call him Bernard ❤️As always after to the before. This was a custom piece created using Frenchic smudge and browning wax. He looks just dreamy in his new home, wouldn’t you agree? 🏡❤️☺️
So unbelievably pretty 😍 she’s done it again! Jan Jackson created these artificial flower arrangements for a local Bistro 😍 after being approached to add some colour into the windows. Please contact her directly if you’d like her to create something bespoke for you 🌸
Say hi to ‘’Sally’’ 👋 isn’t she pretty? Another custom piece for my lovely pal Louise Newton ❤️ Sally the chair was given to her by her grandparents - named after her grandmother 🥰 a total pleasure to up-holster in this lovely blue tweed and additional stag cushion. As always the after to the before. Have a wonderful Monday all ❤️
