Not a Bluedoo gig - but this Saturday, I'm back in St Louis with the '60s cover band BackBeat. This is such a fun band to play with and if you're a fan of this era, you won't be disappointed. Nothing but hits from the '60s!! Come along and get transported back in time. AF

Last night at St Louis was brilliant! The place was full - and jumping. We also featured the fabulous Alan Nimmo (Scotland's emerging Blues star) on a night off from his superb band - King King. Alan came up for a couple of numbers on guitar and truly dazzled! Brilliant! Thanks to all who braved the elements. See you all soon! AF

Friday the 30th and the full complement of Bluedooers will be rolling up to play the theatre at Charlie's Mugdock Country Park . This really is a wee gem of a venue. There are still a few tickets left I believe - go on; you know it makes sense!
If the Blues ain't got doos, then they ain't the cats to choose!

The Blues Juniors, which comprises myself along with another couple of BlueDoo stalwarts - Matt Berlow and Miles O'Neil with Robert Howgate on guitar and vox and Colin Robertson on drums, will be playing late this afternoon at the The Callendar Blues Fest. We are at the Dalgair House Hotel between 4 and 6. See you there. AF

Well! St. Louis Cafe Bar never disappoints!! Another great evening there last night. Thanks to all! Well done too to our sticksman for the gig - Mr. Jolomi (Tolly) Whyte. Tolly did a great job - and it will remain a mystery to us all how he crammed all his drum kit and traps into his Mazda MX5? Definitely a Blues Tardis if ever there was one! AF

It's back to our favourite venue tomorrow night - St Louis Cafe Bar. Duncan McCallum, Fraser Speirs, Miles O'Neil and I will be joined by a BMD (Brilliant Mystery Drummer). It will be as much a surprise to me - as to you! Come along for great food, drink, company - and a slice of great BlueDoo blues! AF

Here's one that I'm really looking forward to. We're at Charlie's Bar & Theatre at Mugdock Country Park. This is a truly wonderful wee venue. Lovely little intimate theatre with a great bar/eaterie attached. All positioned in the old stables in the visitor centre. It's worth a visit - and why not catch BlueDoo while you're there? It will be fantastic. It's a small venue so phone 0141 956 6775 and book ASAP. Al F
