On this sacred day of Gurupurnima, we offer our respects and gratitude to Gurus who have shaped us as a dancer & human today. It’s a day to express gratitude and bow down to the knowledge and wisdom generations passed down to us by our Gurus.
Always grateful to my Guru Mayur Vaidya who planted the seed of Kathak in my life. His contribution in my dance today is impeccable and has been a guiding light. Had the fortune and privilege to receive blessings and wisdom from his Guru Pt. Birju Maharaj ji who made me fall in love with Kathak. As I entered into this vast ocean of Kathak mentors like Aditi Mangaldas gave me the courage to dance my own dance. She has inspired me in multiple ways that I cannot event express.
Of course I couldn’t be this human without my parents love and teachings.
Learning is such a two way process, where there is so much give and take happens if you are open to learn. I have learnt so much from dance company members and students and others who have had the opportunity to mentor.
Friends who supported and each step Karl Kolah and Sunil SunkaraSunil Sunkara
Lastly, all the lovely audience who often show us whether we are on the right path. Grateful & blessed! ♥️✨

As Aditya Garud Dancce Company completes a year, we have a very special announcement tomorrow. Guess what it is -in the comments.
It’s been a year full of learnings, explorations and experiments. We did 17 performances, 2 new productions, 6 dance company members who performed with us, mentored & trained multiple passionate dancers. We are grateful for the love you have showered in the year. First’s are always special but this is just the beginning, taking all the learnings and hoping to promote the dance form of Kathak in new creative ways in the coming year.
Super excited for tomorrow!
Performing tomorrow at Veer Savarkar Auditorium, Shivaji Park, Dadar 8pm. Show open for all!
We will be presenting excerpts of our production Krishnamay. See you all there!
Humbled to present in the honour of Guru Padmashri Damyanti Joshi ji, curated by her disciple Kalaangan Moli Siddharth
As a dancer, I have always wondered how our bodies are our instruments. And we communicate, express through our bodies but apart from the choreographies, how well do we know our body? Do we let our bodies speak to us? Do we listen to our body? Have we ever explored how our mind and bodies are so so connected? To find answers to all of this, let’s dive into an exploratory session of Dance/Movement therapy. It’s open for all ( the sessions will focus on dancers reflection and experiences with their bodies)
Thank you Sohini Karanth for hosting this workshop. Looking forward!
Hope to work more with Angikam_DMT this year.

Hope to see you all there, as we reach out with ‘Krishnamay’ by Aditya Garud Dancce Company
Seeking your blessing Lata Surendra akka🙏🏻✨
Ending this year with ‘Krishnamay’ a 75 mins Kathak presentation where we see Krishna through the eyes of a devotee, gopis, radha, meera, gwala; as a dancer, as kanha, as giridhar, as one Krishna. Hoping to leave the audience with an divine experience through dance & music.
The show is open for all. We premiered this on Janmashtami in a Dwarkadhish temple, and ending the year with this a the very special Astik samaj temple which completes 100 years this year. A place of worship in the heart of the city.
Grateful to the curator of the evening Kalashree Lata Surendra akka for thinking of Aditya Garud Dancce Company and Krishnamay for this occasion.

Yesterday we performed at the Vishudas Bhave, Vashi for an awards night.
What an unique experience to perform in an intimate setup of a baithak, where the line between performer and audience is faded. Beautifully curated by Sunil Sunkara at Natanam Studio for Performing Arts of Piyush Raj
Looking forward to many such baithaks happening in Mumbai, to create more interaction and awareness of the art with the audience.

Philosophy of the logo:
Our founder Aditya Garud believes dance is beyond entertainment, it has the power to transform oneself.
In Aditya’s personal journey with dance, he jumped into it with joy and the moment is frozen in time and there has been no looking back. Aditya thinks it is of utmost importance that a performance leaves an impact on the audience, which leaves a splash of thoughts that movement creates. Another perspective to it, is an abstract ghrungu that the stroke creates, with his leg cutting the circle.
