We understand how much a warm cup of tea or coffee on a cold morning can start the day off nicely but please remember to avoid caffeine at least 24 hours before your SPMU appointment.

This is due to the fact that caffeine is a blood thinner which means it can cause:

⇢ More swelling and bruising
⇢ Increased sensitivity to pain
⇢ Longer appointments as blood overpowers the pigment and we may have to go over more areas multiple times.
⇢ Less retention of the pigment
⇢ Shakiness during treatment

Just as any cut would shrink down and shorten in the skin, your newly microbladed brows will likely shrink down 20-30% in size as they start to heal. Typically, during this healing process, you may find the colour of your brows start to lighten by 20-50% and patchiness begin to occur.

This is normal! Microblading pigment is shallow in the skin so we need to go back over all the strokes from the 1st treatment to solidify your results.

Although Microblading & Ombre Brows are a semi permanent cosmetic procedure, it is not like a regular tattoo. These techniques will fade over time if left alone as the depth of the needle doesn’t pass through the first layer of your skin unlike a regular tattoo. This is why we recommend touch ups every year to two years.

How to maintain your shape after treatment!

If your skin is sensitive in general or on the day of the treatment, you may have a bit of redness around your brows after the treatment but this should settle within a few hours to a few days. Your results will not be effected by having sensitive skin if the proper aftercare is followed.

‼️ You may find you are most likely going to be better suited to machine work rather than microblading.
