Command Sgt. Maj. Todd Sims, FORSCOM Command Sergeant Major, retired from the U.S. Army today after more than 35 years of service to our nation. Sims began his military career in The National Guard and even spent some time in the U.S. Marine Corps before finding his place with the U.S. Army.

The objective of this mission is to challenge both units' ability to operate against a free-thinking enemy in a complex urban environment.

Soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade are conducting individual and collective training during a field training exercise this week on Fort Stewart. The 3rd DSB tests and teams with individual and collective unit defense and convoy live fire exercises to ensure readiness to protect critical logistics and mission command systems on any battlefield.

3rd Infantry Division
The 54th Security Force Assistance Brigade, Indiana National Guard is one of six in the U.S. Army and the only SFAB in the Army National Guard. With a mission to advise, support, and assist partner nation security forces, brigade members recently completed collective training while preparing to deploy overseas.
Though headquartered in the Indiana Army National Guard, the brigade has battalions in the Florida National Guard, Georgia National Guard, Ohio National Guard, Texas National Guard and the Illinois National Guard.
The FIM-92 Stinger Missile is shoulder-fired, surface-to-air missile system designed for short-range air defense engagements against drones and rotary-wing aircraft. The FIM-92 can also be mounted and operated from an Avenger Missile System or an Maneuver Short Range Air Defense System (M-SHORAD). The Stinger Missile is combat proven in four conflicts with over 270 confirmed intercepts to its credit.
