To be able to think, reflect, and contemplate is to be human. However, feeling pensive is to be so caught up in our thinking that we disconnect from the immediate environment around us.
The gift of thought can lead us to wondrous creations and powerful insights but equally it can perpetuate fear, anger, or sadness. It can at times be fun to be lost in our deep thinking, but know that at any moment, we can choose to not take our thoughts too seriously.

My growing collection of seaside treasures from around the world. There’s something so wondrous and therapeutic about walking along the beach, discovering remnants of different forms of life.
These shells remind me that we are unique and beautiful life forms, interconnected, that happen to all exist at the same time… they also remind me it’s time to book my next beach holiday 🏝️
We often use the word helpless to describe a tough situation that we cannot do anything about. Whether you are the person suffering or watching someone else suffer, this mixed sense of frustration and defeat may be a reminder to trust. Trust that IF there was something that you could do, you likely would’ve done it, and WHEN there is something that can be done, you will.
We can feel helpless while we await for help, or we can feel secure and hopeful knowing that the next step will reveal itself sooner than later. Either way, there may be nothing TO do right now.
